Where I’ve veen (plus text if you can’t listen)

Hey everyone!

yall were probably concerned after my last update. Basically I’ve been going through a severe mental health crisis spurred by a recent event.

essentially, I’m a freelancer and I wrote something that got pretty huge. Within a day of publication, someone decided it would be fun to see if I said anything bad and found some regretful things I said back in middle school. Despite how long ago those things were said, obviously many people were upset by it which is totally understandable. The sheer amount of attention brought upon me made me incredibly depressed and anxious and I eventually attempted on my own life.

i was sent to the psych ward for nearly a month and got out for thanksgiving. Decided to go back to inpatient briefly to make sure I was capable of being on my own and I’m now back to working at my other full time job and relaxing. I was advised to stay off the internet at the recommendation of my therapists, but I want to still engage with y’all because GWA and Patreon is the only platform in which people like me for who I am lol.

back in October I uploaded a fun “12 days of Christmas” type thing for you all but obviously it’s like 5 days till Christmas so I’ll upload it this week slowly. I’ll also be sending my usual monthly memos to everyone this time as an apology and Bc it’s the holidays so fuck it.

for 2021, I’m going to consider eliminating all but one tier Bc I don’t like feeling like I’m taking your money. I wish there was a way to pause contributions, so if you’d like a refund for the months I’ve been away please lmk. I can get it to you! I haven’t cashed any of your guys’ money out since I started this thing.

im sorry for being so absent the past year. Ive been having a really hard time mentally and my depression was far worse than I expected. I didnt want to own up to it because I thought I’d get better. I’m hoping to learn to love myself and I’m thankful for all of you.

have a safe holiday and lmk what you’re doing for this holiday season regardless of what you celebrate! I have some fun stuff that’s overdue that I’ll upload as soon as I get my hard drive (fucking iCloud sucks and is holding my files hostage until I get more space).
