This movie took me by surprise ! I knew that it would be about the last days of Laura Palmer, so I was prepared to see Bob-Leland in action, but I thought we would stay with the cozy weird mood of the show. Not at all, this movie totally went on the horror stuff. It was really disturbing, at some occasions I even felt disgusted physically, I felt sick watching some scenes. On purpose because the movie is clearly meant for that, directed, edited, so the viewer would feel uncomfortable as hell.
I wanted to truly meet Laura, to know more about her and it worked well. Finishing this movie, I want to rewatch season 1 and to be nicer with the girl. Because now, I totally see why she was acting like that, why she had so many different personalities with everyone. The girl lived such a hard life and she still manages to survive that long, to have a normal life, to protect herself. At the end, when her mind showed her who was truly Bob, it was the end and she knew it. I finish this movie feeling so sad for Laura, because she never had a chance, from the moment she was born to her death, in life like in the after-life.

I'm not considering myself as an hardcore fan of Lynch, but yes I liked this movie. I think I had the chance to watch it just after the season 2, without a break of one year or more, so I was still into TP mood and I knew it would be about Laura's last days so I prepared myself to see Bob-Leland, to be disturbed. It still shocked, but maybe I was less surprised.

As others have said, this film was hated and disregarded by so many, but over time, people have looked at it and see it as an art-house masterpiece the way diehard Lynch fans like me always have.

Ă chaque fois pour moi c'est la mĂȘme chose. le dĂ©but est superbe et le reste est trĂšs dur Ă regarder! mais je me laisse emporter par l'histoire et rendu Ă la fin j'ai envie d'y retourner pour capturer les dĂ©tails manquĂ©s et pour approfondir la comprĂ©hension de certaines choses comme la vieille dame qui apparaĂźt dans la roulotte, pourquoi Laura dit que Bobby Ă tuĂ© Mike etc... et de ce faire mettre au visage les vrai moments racontĂ©s durant la sĂ©rie Ă certainement tout un impact sur le personnage de Laura effectivement. aussi, ça prend quelques "re-watch" pour rĂ©ussir Ă se dĂ©tacher des personnages afin de comprendre et analyser le jeu incroyable des acteurs qui, disons-le franchement, ont tout donnĂ©s pour ce film et mĂ©riteraient quelques trophĂ©es! (entre autre Sheryl Lee) c'est un chef-d'oeuvre qui, 30 ans plus tard, obtient enfin ses notes de noblesse. car en 92, le film Ă Ă©tĂ© un Ă©chec presque total autant Ă Canne que dans les cinĂ©mas! ça Ă tuĂ© la franchise et Lynch c'est tournĂ© vers d'autres films d'oĂč l'influence de FFWM est trĂšs palpable! (un coup que tu auras vue tout les films et courts mĂ©trages de Lynch tu remarqueras beaucoup de choses qui reviennent d'un film Ă l'autre et mĂȘme dans ses Ă©pisodes de Twin Peaks. surtout dans la saison 3 ou lĂ cĂ© tout le catalogue qui y passe.) malheureusement mon compte en banque pour les mois Ă venir m'a fait revenir Ă l'ancien tiers mais j'ai bien hĂąte de voir ta rĂ©action au reste de la saga! Missing pieces et saison 3 sont eux aussi de diffĂ©rentes bĂȘtes mais toujours dans la mĂȘme veine! excellente rĂ©actions et rĂ©flexions comme toujours!
