Hello !
During a long moment at the beginning of this movie, I was feeling sad for Coraline because I was focused on the interpretation that this dreamy universe didn't exist, except in her head. Because she needed her parents to pay attention to her, to spend time with her. I think that one message of the movie is about that : people who don't like their life and prefer to live into their dreams, and they can't be trapped into that. That symbol made me so sad.
And then, at the middle of the movie, I went more into the fantastic mood, because they revealed that we have a real villain playing with kids for a long time. I liked other messages put into the movie, like the one about the fact that Coraline needed friends. And Wybie is such a good one ! This boy was only nice, fun, generous, persistent, brave… Loved him ! The neighbors were interesting but it took a long time for Coraline to see it, and not just consider them as boring persons.

Haha, maybe you're stronger than you think ! And you're reassuring me about the musics, I really had issues with it like "it's french, no ? oh no, italian, ah no, maybe latin but why ? but here it sounds..." 🙈

2023-11-24 16:50:47 +0000 UTCYay! I’m so glad that you enjoyed the movie. I can’t really remember, but I think I first saw it when it was out in the theaters. I would have been 8 or 9. I know a lot of people said that the movie was scary to them as kids, but I never thought so. And I am a real crybaby when it comes to horror movies, so that’s surprising 😂. Oh, and all the background music is complete gibberish. I thought they were singing in Latin for years until I found out haha
