For that, you have to be the first one to subscribe to this new Level and I'll contact you by private messages : you'll have to give me two names of movies, I'll watch the trailers and I'll react to one of them !

2023-10-10 08:03:18 +0000 UTCOh... here's a simpler version(?) 1) Keep the tier open all the time. There is only 1 winner per month just like it is now, and also a month may be skipped that's allowed. Joining the tier does not guarantee anything, only the winner get their movie watched and that is determined elsewhere, see step 2. 2) the monthly winner is determined through some game or system. The winner must join the tier or maybe they're already in there because the tier is always open. The reasoning for this is someone could join the tier and give their movie title and say "let me know when I've won." With this there's no monthly struggle and no years long disappointment(?) They just have to wait for the win. (The safety net will be put in place later).

I'm always coming up with new ideas... for example here's an idea, 1) You have people submit their names if they're interested 2) You assign their name to a playing card and you shuffle the cards to create a queue 3) do not show the cards - the top 3 are pulled and they are assigned the next 3 coming months. Whoever is their turn they must subscribe at the tier level before their month starts - they can subscribe early. 4) So far we have 3 people in line, they can pay early, they can submit their movie early. Once their movie has been seen their card is removed, to let others have a chance. That should work. Here are notes for each step, #1 - the names submissions can be held at any time, 4 times per year or every month or taking a break if needed. The count of names could be just a few or could be a lot, it will not cause a problem. #2 - randomizing or shuffling the names puts them in order. If someone on the list can't go through with it they can be skipped. This means everyone playing knows that they're on the list so they don't have to worry about it. If a person disappears they're just skipped no problem #3 - the subscribing to the tier also becomes flexible, the top 3 or 2 or 1 (up to Laura how many, or could be more) will have to upgrade to the higher tier but they have more time or they can be early, it will take effect on the next billing cycle. A person can pay early so that they won't forget. There's also more time to select their movie. If there's a payment issue, no problem, there is already the next one in line. #4 - when the scheduled movies are running out, it's time to do step 3 and inform the next batch of winners in the queue. When new people want to be added to the list a new step 1 event can be scheduled and new names are collected, these new names are now shuffled and their cards are added to the end of the line, this way people already in line get to keep their place but new names can be added. Hey it's so simple and flexible. It is also a quality-of-life improvement. This could work or a version of this.
