DRAWING WEEK 33 - THE WIRE

Thinking about making a new drawing about the show, I thought directly of Frank Sobotka. Not only because everything began with him for this new season, and all of the story around the church's window. But really because I just LOVED the interpretation of the actor with this character on the last episode I watched, the episode 4.
We began and finished the episode with him, with each scene responding to the other one. The first scene showed him looking at the port, talking about how much he loves his town and being mad at Nick who did something illegal. The last scene showed him being so disturbed of the cops targeting him but recomposing his face after a look at the picture of the docks : he has to stay strong to protect his people. Already that, about the character, I loved it. But the interpretation of the actor was so intense, without being too much... I LOVED IT.
