Hello !

Did I repeat enough during this episode how much I love the actor playing Frank Sabotka ? Let's say it one more time : he is amazing. The guy can be really intense during times the character is disturbed, sad or mad, but without being too much, and he can also express so much with his eyes in regular scenes. Like here, he was just explaining to the cops how all informations about the cans are on the computers, but still we could see he was playing the cops by telling the truth to convince them about something fake.

Our guys are just beginning to understand that they have to connect the cases. For now, they just share informations and they are still focused on the drugs guys. Nick is okay to work for the Greeks for more money, a lot to help Ziggy who has issues to deal with. That story was funny but also showing that these guys are not like the ones we dealt with during season 1. And, about them : I'm pretty sure I was right at the end of season 1, saying that D would be killed in jail. Here, Avon almost said to Stringer "I did my best with the kid, right ? So, if something happens to him…"

I'm still french, so I'm still sorry if my english hurts you.

Also if you didn't notice, the realtor in that scene was McNulty's wife!

One of the things I love about this show is there are always parallels between the different "sides." You see Stringer applying what he learned in Econ class to rename his product in order to be able to sell it at a better price, and on the law enforcement side you see the same thing as they rename the INS to the Department of Homeland Security in order to consolidate more federal power over immigration, and the same again with the dockworkers where you can see that the neighborhood close to the port where working class people and their families lived is being renamed by realtors from "Locust Point" to "Federal Hill" to try to hide the fact that it's a low-income neighborhood so they can sell these houses that they acquired for a low price to people with much more money. The closeness to the docks is rebranded as a "harbor view" and as the area gentrifies the people who had been able to own homes there for generations are left barely able to rent a small apartment.
