This episode was really made for the characters, for them to realize that they changed a lot during the time that they were together. Yennefer had Tissia telling her that she finally found what she always dreamed of, a daughter, and Yennefer realized that Ciri gave her reasons to fight for a better future, to have hope. Geralt opened a little more his feelings during this episode, talking about his mom and realizing that she made a sacrifice when she abandoned him but that he would never do the same to Ciri.

And Ciri was confronted to her mistakes : she used her skills against this creature and it could have put her in danger, she met the girls from Aretuza and she realized it's not what she hoped, she argued with Yennefer even if she knows Yennefer has only her interest at heart. And to finish, we have that attack at the end. Luckily, Geralt was here.
