Hello !

Me during the intro : "I'm SO EXCITED ! Big episode to come, a lot of beautiful fights, but nothing can go wrong, like I would be really surprised if something really bad is gonna happen to one of them." WHEN WOULD I LEARN TO SHUT MY MOUTH ? But you have the proof I didn't see coming at all what could happen here. Even when Tanjiro was running after Upper Four, I didn't understand at first why he was coming back to Nezuko.

I cried, like hell. I swore in french. I was tempted to make fingers at my screen and to insult mothers. I was in denial and said way too many times "no, no, no, no, no, no". And I applied my rule : for humans, it's "body cold, eyes closed, if I don't see that, the person is not dead", for Nezuko it is "ashes or she's not dead". And I was right !

The flashback about Upper Four was a little disappointing, but the one about Muzan was unexpected and confusing. Still not sure I understood everything, so feel free to comment so we can talk about it (politely). Oh, and also tell me how many months I have to wait for season 4 if they're doing the same as usual. I want to count the days.

I'm still french, so I'm still sorry if my english hurts you.

DEMON SLAYER 3X11 FULL REACTION

Comments

I missed them so much ! You mentioned Zenitsu, but imagine Inosuke's reaction when he's gonna learn what Tanjiro did... he's gonna be so jealous 😂🙈

Always glad to watch something with you girl ! 😊

I just watched it again and just love how they gave Tanjiro a legit panic attack. In older episodes and in a lot of other shows, time just slows down and we hear the inner monologue of the character. But here you can see his breathing get more out of control and how much he is paralyzed by this impossible choice, the animation really complimented his inner struggle. I also really loved how they went back to the fact that his left leg was just smashed. Reminds me of when he was fighting the ball demon at Lady Tamayo's place back in the 1st season. Bro was fighting with broken ribs. Coming back to that detail just shows how much Tanjiro always tries to fight through his injuries but that at the end of the day, he's still human and will hit his limitations. Looking forward to the inevitable "healing and getting stronger" episode/s of the next story arc. I'm actually wondering whether or not Zenitsu and Inosuke are going to be at the same level at Tanjiro after this. Sure they went on their own missions, but I doubt they had to fight any Upper Ranks. To be honest, I actually did miss Zenitsu's whiny voice going "Taaaaaanjirooooo." Never thought I'd say that. hahaha

What a great season 🤩. I’m sad that it’s come to an end, but I don’t think we’ll have to wait long for more. If I had to guess, maybe next summer? No release date yet so I’m not sure. Anyways, I’m glad to be able to watch this with you 😊

Yes, I noticed that Tanjiro used that thunder run other times in the episode. For Muzan, I talked about it in another comment, here with Ferdinand, about the fact I still have trouble to understand how that medicine was what made him a demon, but also it was possible for him to live normally, go out and all. Like a poison and its antidote at the same time. I'm just waiting to have more infos. Yes, the blood discussion made it clear that Nezuko's blood changed a lot and surely, before that, sun would have killed her. Something which is interesting, it's the fact that it keeps changing, so maybe she's gonna change also in the future, have more abilities.

Now for the episode itself: Beautiful. I got soo excited when Tanjiro used and adapted some of Zenitsu's thunder breathing. I completely forgot that part I was so happy. (Also if you didn't notice he used it again once he borrowed the new sword at 22:05, some minor lightning affects). Man Upper 4 really had 7 different forms/bodies/emotions: The original: Fear. The split four: Joy, Pleasure, Anger, Sorrow. The Combined; Hatred and then the last protection; Resentment. Definitely a very defensive demon with his powers, I guess just like the person he was. I do believe this is the first Demon we see the backstory for that pretty much confirmed they were a shit person even as a human. Most demons are just victims, innocent people that Muzan turned against their will. Hantengu only *acted* like he was the victim, passed the blame and excuses to others so much, until he managed to even convince himself that he was the victim. For me, his powers & emotions explained themselves already. They did all the dirty work so he didn't have to, just like when he was human his "hands" did all the work. Side note: Now I kinda wish that Demons were fine in the sun because the animation just looked even more beautiful in the daylight, I wish we had it more often in fights! A little thing funny to me I see every single reactor seeing child Muzan: "He going to be so mad losing 2 uppers at once" Muzan: Great work, Hantengu! Lmao, He doesn't care about his Kizuki at all. It was the medicine that made Muzan a demon, though I doubt the doctor was intending that, he was just trying to try what he can to keep Muzan alive or make him stronger/healthier. Before that Muzan was just going to die to some disease/illness/cancer before he reached 20 years old. As for Nezuko, I'm pretty confident in assuming that Nezuko would certainly be killed by the sunlight in any earlier seasons. She clearly had a natural instinct to avoid it and even when it happened, she barely survived before she adapted a toleration. So that is now 2 seasons in a row with a happy ending, bad guys die, good guys live... I wonder if you think that will continue next season? I feel like between that and what happened with Nezuko, if something bad does actually happen in the future no one will believe it and be in denial haha. Amazing episode, amazing season. My favourite Arc animated so far is still Entertainment district, and Upper 6 was my favourite of the lower half of the uppers (6-4), but this still exceeded my expectations. But I cannot stress how much I can't wait for season 4 (Or 5?... Whatever the "bigger" season counts as) I have the most hope for as it was my favourite in the manga. I hope Ufotable do not hold back and put maximum effort into that. As much as I can't wait, I hope they take the time they need to make it the best season ever.

Hello ! My denial was so big... I repeated again and again "it's not happening"/"no-no-no-no", I swore in french, I cried so much that I talked in ultrasound that only dolphins can understand at this point, I pointed my finger at the screen and you guys while I was threatening you... So big 😂🙈 Upper Four flasback was good, but with such a big symbolism around him (and thanks for sharing your thought about cowardice and resentment, the meaning behind ! I love it !), I expected more. But you're right, it's a logical one at the end, no matter what. For Muzan's flashback, I get what you mean but I have a question. If I follow your explanation, the doctor's medicine made him a demon. But he didn't have any "symptom" of it, no ? (the eyes, the sun, eating humans to have blood etc) So maybe, the doctor was giving him also the antidote for it, that blue lily thing ? His medicine was the poison and the antidote ? See where I have trouble to understand how it worked ?

Laura Reactions

I really expected someone to die. But really glad that no one did. hahaha. I cried so hard during that whole scene with Nezuko. Even if there was a part of me in denial like you, the uncertainty created after Rengoku's death always makes you feel anyone can die. I both love and hate it. lol I feel like Upper Four's flashback was nice because it just shows us that not all demons have a tragic backstory; some of them were asshole humans who just became demons. You know, the translation from my end was not "fear," it was "cowardice." Which I felt was more apt for him. That last symbolism though was nice: cowardice is at the heart of resentment. Which makes sense considering his history; he kept making excuses for his behavior and kept playing the victim, refusing to take responsibility for anything. Coward. Love it. With Muzan, I think what was being showed in the his flashback was that he was sickly when he was human, then the doctor gave him experimental drugs, he didn't believe the doctor and killed him bceause of it. But found out shortly after the medication worked. So I think it was the "medicine" that transformed him to a demon. So many questions though. I feel like they're going to be revealed maybe in the first episode of the next story arc. I think we're all just waiting on word on when that next story arc will be.

Ferdinand Villafuerte

Hello ! Okay, so for what I understood : between S2 and S3, we had to wait 1,5 years. You thought S4 would include two narrative arcs, one short, one long, but it seems they announced it would be only the short one. So because of that, we have to expect a short season or a movie like for S3. It's what I understood 🙈 I don't mind having a short or a long season, including one or two narrative arcs. As long as the quality of the picture and the writing is there, that they are not "stretching" the short narrative arc to make it look longer for example. And as long as the waiting time to have it is related to that, for a short season I want to expect less time than for a big one.

Laura Reactions

I started watching Demon Slayer after the movie was already released. From memory before Entertainment District and before Swordsmith Village Arc, I think the wait was roughly 1.5 Years. They have already confirmed the next season being the Hashira Training Arc, but this is what confuses me... I remember talking about it recently within the past weeks about how I was hoping that this season would also include the next 'mini' arc as the next arc has an estimated 3-4 episode length.. Which to me is very short for it to be a season on its own, but the next Arc after that is estimate 20+ Episodes so it made sense to me to combine with this season, but the teaser trailer confirmed it as just that arc. If that is the case and next season will be ~4 episodes, unless they ad more amine-original content (Like episode 1 of Mugen Train), I really expect to only wait until start of next year at the latest. But I'm really not sure because they really only provide very limited information. Perhaps it will be like season 2 where it's Mugen Train + Entertainment district. But still, I would imagine they would have announced that if so right? And most of Mugen Train was already done as a movie anyway, so I feel like that was a different situation. But overall my prediction would be maybe half a year if its just the next arc only. However if they do combine it with the next main Arc, I expect to wait 3 Years, as it will be a much longer season.
