Hello !

I love that we follow D that much, because the guy is a complex character. We saw he had regrets for what happened to the witness. Here, he's not considered at all by his uncle for the "promotion", they are telling him he has a snitch on his team, he's left behind for the real deal and he has to wait like the other "pawns". And on the other hand, when he tries fancy restaurants and other things, he knows he doesn't belong. For me, his relationship with Preston is gonna be a big deal also, like maybe he would push D under the bus (at the cops) to take his place ?

All of the pager situations were really nice to follow, but for sure, nowadays, it feels a little off. Like the fact they don't want to use phones at all. Like that sweet modem connection sound. Haha, it was so fun to hear it, and so cool to see them fighting with the numbers and all. I'm on Lester's side : Daniels is clearly not giving everything he should to his team. To not ruin his potential career or for another reason ? I didn't forget the guy can be dirty.

I'm still french, so I'm still sorry if my english hurts you.

Hello ! Yes, that scene was pretty obvious to denounce that, and I love the fact we had with D because for me he's the character who has the deepest "message" in the show, with a lot of things about his feelings, his way of thinking, his ambition, his doubts and all. Other moments which are pretty obvious for me : to see how they arrested at multiple occasions Preston and others, just going for violence directly, and how they are going for other guys, just because these ones are wearing suits 😅🙈

David Simon has given some talks about how one of the themes he wanted to talk about with the show was class politics with a bit of a Marxist view of the way these systems trap and devalue the people inside of them. I think the scene with D'Angelo in the fancy restaurant was one of the most direct ones about this, the other characters who are "in the game" view themselves as playing the drug game to escape their social class, but D is able to see more than others how even with money they are trapped in the class position they occupy.

Hello ! For Prez, I can see he's useful and he's good at papers work, but I won't forgive him because that's one of my way of seing things : everyone deserves a second chance, IF that person regrets what he/she did and shows that he/she wants to change. Prez didn't show any regret. For the season structure, maybe you can tell me if I'm right or wrong to think that it's gonna be one season/one investigation ? Like, at this point, I think that Avon's case is gonna be closed this season and then we're gonna continue the investigation on following the money path more, like to have a political investigation or something like that.

Lol i loved Prez being useful and you not being able to look past the stuff he did, we can say he did a good job but not look past him hitting the kid. I don't know If you wanted an answer about the season structure so I'm not going to say, but if someone does answer it, I don't think it's a spoiler to say how the seasons work at least imo.
