Hello !

Rick being so supportive with Morty, it made me so happy ! Just watch my smile when he swears to make him a fake dick and then when they ran away, said "I love you" to each other, to finally jump in lava together… You know and I know because I watched the final episode, that I regret it now.

But as you can see, during this episode, I really believed we had here another confirmation that Rick is changing and not only he does stuff to prove it (it's the case for a long time now) but he's also verbalizing it (like also during the last episode). And I felt so proud and so glad for Rick, and for what he can bring to the family now.

I'm still french, so I'm still sorry if my english hurts you.

RICK AND MORTY 6X09 EXTENDED REACTION

Comments

Haha, I didn't expect at all to have a comment for R&M today 😅 I love these writers because I think they really made clear that Rick needs therapy and that it could help him, even if he seems like the most desperate case ever. No one is.

Woo! I actually caught up! For some reason HBO now has all of season 6, I just looked by accident and found the last episodes available. This was a pretty crazy episode - self mutilation is not... good, in fact horrific. It is both imaginable... and unimaginable at the same time which is why it's crazy. Of course Rick comes to the rescue "after" he warned Morty against taking the sword, that is typical of Rick. But afterwards when they're back in the garage Rick explains the important "22% more agreeable" contract. In the previous episode Rick went to therapy to ask a question. I'm going to say that all of the writers know about therapy and believe in it... as well as everyone in the entertainment business probably go to therapy, at least everyone who goes in front of the camera and those in creative positions. I think in recent times the benefits of therapy has been clearly understood - I think it's referred to under the blanket of mental health issues. I bet it started from the time when all child actors eventually ended up with serious issues, from there it seems clear that something had to be done and you can't just let actors fend for themselves, there are very clear risks that come from the profession that require external intervention. Rick has always needed therapy. But yet... if we count the times he went in therapy - they were all unofficial or unintentional, and that one time he himself set an appointment he couldn't make it because he was too busy doing Rick stuff. It was kind-of a callback when Jaguar saved Rick and Morty from piano guy, and Rick said that's why he doesn't go to therapy (because he's too busy doing Rick level stuff and meeting characters like Jaguar). But yet Rick does need therapy. So far he has been able to weasel out of it yet still getting the benefits from it.

Sounds nice. I saw that some fans created also a d&d game on this universe. But I chose to make an escape game because I'm a real fan of escape games, I went into more than a dozen with different moods/universes (from horror to real funny) so it sounds more logical for me, and something I could try to do 💪

There's actually a game within the Rick and Morty VR game called 'Troy', that's a poor copy of 'Roy' from the show, where your decisions cause different outcomes in Troy's life. No escaping the dungeon under the garage; you can drop stuff down there though. https://youtube.com/watch?v=4qeNSsGdTGs&feature=shares

Catch up, catch up ! 😊

I actually think I haven't seen this episode.. Which means you're more caught up than I am

Haaaa, thanks for all of the infos ! And yes, I got Susan Sarandon, wonderful 😊

Laura Reactions

Yeah Daniel Radcliffe was in this episode. He was at some event and an interviewer asked about if he'd ever like to do Rick and Morty and he got pretty excited about it. Honestly, the level of guest stars they get is pretty amazing. I mean the therapist who except for the president, who is voiced by Keith David who is pretty famous himself, shows up most is voiced by Susan Sarandon.
