Hello !
Me during the intro : "They just introduced the subjects of the dictature and the collaborationists, I think it could be interesting to explore it more here, while we're learning more about Henry and Sam. But I can't see a good end for them." Also me, at the end of the same episode, crying like hell : "FU** YOU WRITERS !!! YOU DID IT AGAIN !"
All along these scenes, I was predicting their deaths, when they entered in the tunnels, against Kathleen's guys, when all of these runners came from under the ground, when that Huge Clicker appeared, when they were under the car… Like I don't count how many times I said "for sure, they're gonna die" or "no one died ??". But they got me. By exploring so much the subject of collaboration, revenge and all, they distracted me, and at the end, I really thought I had it wrong, they could go with Ellie and Joel. But no. Fu** you.

So, so far, we have the Runners, the Clickers and the Bloaters ? With the specificity for the Clickers to not see and the Bloaters to be bigger and bulletproof ? I think I have them right 😅 But I still have questions about why these differences and other stuff (don't answer ! it's just to say I'm thinking of it 🙈)

The story of Henry and Sam was heartbreaking, in a good way of course. Oh, and the big clicker you saw? It’s called a Bloater, and they are bulletproof. In the game, if you saw one, you’d have to use a bomb on it because nothing else worked. Otherwise, you just run and hope it doesn’t catch you haha

2023-02-13 21:27:13 +0000 UTCHa, you answered to the question I asked to Daniel 🙈 Thanks for all of these infos, and I understand that you connected even more with them, yes, if you spent so much time with the characters, and in particular if you had an entire arc Joel/Sam, with all of the thing about "protecting the kid" mission for the character. I think here they did it well "but" they amplified more the relationship "Ellie/Sam, by creating a lot of scenes for them, a complicity, they play games, they share things... I think they're gonna use it for Ellie's character, to make her go "darker", more cold to the awful stuff happening outside.

2023-02-13 19:22:41 +0000 UTCAlso they made him younger, Sam in the game is just a year or two younger than Ellie witch make ending result more sad, but for me the game hit harder because we spent much more time with them, it's hours of playtime compared to one hour episode, and at some point the four got separated, Joel was with Sam so he had to protect him, and Henry with Ellie, so we had more time to connect with them and there was more emotional connection between them, plus the ending was more shocking, Sam didn't tell anyone he was bit and just attacked Ellie in the morning, and the rest is exactly the same.

2023-02-13 14:23:29 +0000 UTCHe was not deaf in the game ? I thought it was a nice thing because it made him even more dependent of Henry, of the adults around him, so it was amplifying the idea of a pure sweet kid.
