I saw it only during the editing : in fact, this episode was for both Morty and Rick to have a love story and to end it badly and disappointed ? With the solution that your family is gonna be there to say when they have doubts about the person who is with you, they're gonna want to protect you no matter what even if it means to be against you, and they're gonna stay at the end, to reassure you, to cheer you up. Summer for Rick, Beth for Morty.
I had a really weird feeling with Planetina from the beginning, the girl was talking like she was in a commercial and she was making rhymes. And then, to understand that she's that old, that her "kids" are that old and she's sleeping with Morty, a 14 yo kid⦠So I was on Beth's side. Even before we saw Planetina go insane. And, about that, I'm a little worried. Heartbroken, the girl is gonna explode other things, no ?

Just for some context, Planetina is basically Rick and Morty's take on Captain Planet, which was a children's cartoon here that aired in the '90s that tried to teach kids about climate change. Planetina's way of rhyming, talking directly to the viewer, and also the part with the rings was taken directly from the Captain Planet show.
