The story inside of this story totally got me : all of the thing about the machine to make saves in life, it was fun, and the solution was a typical Rick thing, proving again that he's better and smarter than anyone ; but the real deal of this episode for me, it's the entire UP moment. Morty meeting this nice girl, living such good moments with her, and then that big accident, he's ready to die to save her, but he still tries to not use the device to continue his life with her, they are saved and… YES, I KNOW, IT'S JERRY WHO RUINED EVERYTHING. HAPPY ???
I'm a little disturbed by Rick and Morty's relationship since some episodes. We had some episodes with each living an adventure on his own, during the last one the were so nice with each other I even thought it was fake, and during this one they were soooo mad at each other…

I have to be honest, I still love Jerry with all of my heart but now I really want him to evolve. They all do, Rick, Morty, Beth, so he has to change also at some point. I really hope to see that happening soon 🤞😊

Well, at the end I'm happy you sticked with the show, with it's highs and lows, and it's weird stuff (like the dragon's episode) ... And at this point it makes laugh a lot when you are angrily defending Jerry haha, piercing the camera with your eyes into my soul for laughing at Jerry

And in that case yes, Morty's relationship with the girl was real, is real. In some way it was in the past and also it is in the future and also it really did already happen. The lessons are not invalidated because something changed later, or that a blue or red button was pressed. In that case the lessons, the experiences Morty had will stay with him and becomes part of him (unless except "Morty's Mind-blowers" episode). If the experience was real then it's not necessary to relieve it again - would it be an injustice to the first girl if Morty met a different version of the same girl later? Whoah I sprained my own brain. 1) Morty meets a girl for the 1st time and have experiences 2) time passes trauma happens 3) Morty meets the same girl for the first time, it's the first time for the girl but the second time for Morty - is this copacetic?, is this truthful? (Only if Morty erases his own memory would it be alright.) 4) If Morty remembers the past then it wouldn't be new for him, it cannot be #1 above because he's already carrying baggage, he carries original sin, he has been already changed by the experience, it is not fresh, not the first time for him 5) If step #3 cannot be equal to #1 then it is entirely different, there is no "first time" for a 2nd time. Therefore Morty has to step aside. If Morty tries to make it with girl in #3 we've established it's not the same as in #1 therefore he would be unfaithful to the girl he met in situation #1
