Hello guys !

I miss Alicent. I mean, I miss this young version of Alicent. I loved so much the evolution of this character during the first episodes, we really saw her changing little by little. She just wanted to live a "normal" life with her friend near to her. When Rhaenyra was talking about going on adventures, Alicent already knew it wouldn't be the case, that their lives would be different. But I don't think she imagined to be pushed by her dad to marry the King, that old man... Yes, she felt compassionate and found him nice, but we saw her being ra*ed again and again by him, and how bored she was into this palace, that she was seeing as a jail for her.

It took her dad to be forced to exile and for everyone to betray her, for Alicent to accept the truth : she is all alone in this world and she can count only on herself. Ok, she found some allies but I don't think she considers them as friends. Her best friend and her husband lied to her, and for someone who has high principles like Alicent, it's the ultimate betrayal. After that, she can't trust anyone. Her, coming into that green dress, during the engagement dinner, it was such an affirmation of the New Alicent.
