RICK AND MORTY 2X07 EXTENDED REACTION

EXTENDED REACTION PART, FIVE EPISODES OF ADVANCE, NO ADDS

Hello !

I agree with Summer about the fact that the teenage brain of Tiny Rick might have forced him to hide the Old Rick inside, but I also think that it was something he wanted. At first it was to help his grandkids, then he saw that he was useful, that he was having fun, that everyone loved that version of him (and more than the Old one), that maybe it could be a better life. And for me, the Phoenix Operation Rick was preparing can be the proof of it : you wanted to do what with them ?

I also love Beth and Jerry's story during this episode because, even if the process was bad, the conclusion is good : no matter if it was the worst versions of themselves, the best ones, or the real ones, all of them in fact work well with each other. They have things to work on, for sure, but in the end, they're good for each other.

I'm still french, so I'm still sorry if my english hurts you.

RICK AND MORTY 2X07 EXTENDED REACTION

Comments

for some reason the juvenile body of "TR" (Tiny Rick) somehow made Rick less jaded in this episode. Maybe it was simple - maybe Rick was released from some of his responsibilities (we all just need the tiniest excuse to shirk our responsibilities). And so TR is more able to easily give compliments to Summer and Morty and he's less reserved and more welcoming of others. He's just less guarded. We saw a little bit of this in the episode where Rick knew he was in a simulation and so he was free to "play" with Morty because the "consequences" were known because it's a simulation. Compared to the real world where everything is messy and things are unknown toward the edges I believe that Rick has to always be vigilant as he says "nefarious types always want something from him" and so he always has his guard up. I feel that it's the weight of responsibility he's always carrying... and in TR much of that weight was gone.
