MOVIE OF THE MONTH 4

Hello guys !

I loved to discovered "Train to Busan" with you guys, and I thought it would be cool to create a new poll with south korean movies. During the last years, a lot of their movies won big prizes and impressed people, so it's time for me to discover them !

I had to pick Parasite : it was out in France during the time of the first confinement, and clearly when some were excited to watch it because of the context, I avoided it on purpose. It would have been too much for me. But now that it won the Palme d'Or and the Oscars, and I'm "used" to the covid context a little more, let's go to put it on that poll.

I know that Minari is not a strict south korean movie, with this us production. But with the casting, the story and all, I thought that it was ok to put it also in that poll. We all saw the little kid from this movie receiving a prize and crying, and yes, he made me cry, and I thought that if he can make me cry in less than 2 minutes, for sure I had to watch this movie.

The last one can seem less interesting in comparison because it didn't win prize (or at least none that I know), but I chose The Host (2006) because I was impressed by how they treated the horror aspect in "Train to Busan". I thought that it was modern, really cool, so I would be interested to see another horror movie to confirm that first impression, or not.
