Yo, how's it going. Came up with this idea a while back, but I've been thinking about how to implement it. Basically, for a while now I've been making short 4 paragraph stories in my free time, just as a little creative outlet outside of my usual superhuman work. I've also been playing around with the Suno music generator thing for fun as well.
So, the idea I thought up was I'd combine the two hobbies and release it on patreon for free, just as a bit of bonus content for those who don't wanna pay money.
What do I mean by that? Basically, I'll use the short stories I make as lyrics that I'll translate into Old English(Aglaecwif's language) or various other languages I might take an interest in and generate a song based on them. The song form probably will give off a totally different feel than the actual story, because I like a certain style of music. But maybe in the future I'll try to tailor the atmosphere of the song to match that of the story, who knows.
The songs will be put up on youtube here https://www.youtube.com/@weirdworldz
but you guys here and those who follow my twitter or subscribestar, will be able to see the actual translated lyrics in the form of short stories and understand what the songs mean, unlike those that just watch it on youtube. I've made a few other songs already as well that you can check out here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFYniCuRRvo&list=PL-bvFWkS7viYijfUa4W4omZHIAk9JaL9x
Anyway, to sum up, it's just a little easter egg for fun since I'm doing this shit in my free time anyway. Do any of the stories have anything to do with superhuman? Some will, tangentially, maybe of events that happened in the long past or on another planet. Other stories will take place in some of my future games, it will just depend.
Oh and here is the short story that is being sung in that video, it's the first one I made.
Tainted Crown:
In a kingdom teetering on the edge of collapse, a desperate king sought a way to restore his dwindling influence. A dark sorcerer appeared, promising salvation in the form of a crown. Forged from blackened bones and charred metal, the crown shimmered with an unnatural allure. The king, blinded by desperation, took the crown without hesitation, agreeing to the sorcerer’s only price, the light of his life, his unborn child.
With the crown upon his head, the king’s voice became a song of command. His people, once rebellious and disillusioned, now knelt before him, eyes glazed with adoration. Even his enemies bowed to his will, unable to resist the allure that poured from his words. But as his power grew, the king’s reflection began to twist. His face, once regal, now wore the sorcerer’s grin.
In the dead of night, his daughter was born. The moment her first cry pierced the silent night, the king’s heart trembled with fear. But no sorcerer came to claim her. Days passed, and she remained untouched. The king, relieved but wary, continued his reign, growing more twisted with each passing day.
The sorcerer never returned. Instead, the crown did its work. One by one, the kingdom’s children were taken, adorning the king's dinner table each night. The people, so enchanted by their king, did not protest. They simply smiled, hollow-eyed, as their young were taken. At last, the king realized his folly, but it was too late. Wearing the sorcerer's smile, he sank his teeth into the well cooked child. The delicate flesh, of his firstborn daughter.
