I'll be recording the January MATN Patroncast this weekend, probably to come out on January 31st.
I already have a couple of ideas for a things to chat about - the new video formats I've been playing with recently, and why January is the worst time for YouTubers - but your questions and random comments will of course be answered too, so leave any below :)
Oh, and I'll be dragging Claire into this one too - so any questions for Claire are welcome this month :)

2016-01-30 18:25:30 +0000 UTCYour work has inspired me to try to make some videos of my own -- I'd love to someday make money off of my love for games, as you do. Right now I'm just focused on practicing my delivery of commentary and training myself to be more slow and deliberate about camera movement, and soon I'm going to dive into the recording and editing. Once I get to that point, do you have any suggestions as to how I could go about getting useful feedback and criticism?

2016-01-29 21:16:37 +0000 UTCCongrats on 150k subs! Loved the special video. Did you plan the list and if so how long did it take? Will your Fallout 4 review have end game spoilers? I've had exams so am rather behind and just watch a new video every time I finish a main quest mission. Regarding the YOLO for 4, there is an Endurance perk (End 9 I think?) that makes ghouls non hostile which would give you more friend ghouls. Unfortunately it causes radiation to heal you so goes against the non-healing rules. Although without that I am seriously concerned at how you'll overcome all the rads. What happened to the NerdCubed PodCats? I was so excited for them so hopefully they will still be a thing. Thanks for all the effort you put in to create such great, regular content! The channels really improved since you went full-time (and let's be honest it was already pretty bloody good). And now that my exams are over I can't wait to catch up on everything I've missed and put some solid hours into Fallout again.

When we flipped over to Claire's French commentary did you come up with all of that commentary on your own? Or did Jon script some or all of it?

Do you have any sci-fi recommendations, focusing on books or series that successfully mix harder sci-fi and soft sci-fi, without resorting to technobabble? This is more for research than enjoyment.

I imagine it's easier to edit videos if all audio is on the same track, but the drawback would be that you couldn't edit your own commentary.

You had commented that you would only want to do it on PC so you would not have to deal with the comments from people about running it off a console.
