State of the Realms, June 2025

Hey everyone!

Time for a proper update on where we stand with everything, because holy shit, a lot has been happening behind the scenes.

Rewrite Progress: We're officially closing in on 33% completion of the structural rewrites! The bones are getting stronger, but development is lagging a bit behind schedule because I keep finding these little narrative tweaks that need to happen. You know how it is—you fix one thing and suddenly three other things don't quite line up anymore. It's like dominoes, but in reverse.

Beta Reader Program: This is officially live now! If you're on a paid tier, you get access to beta releases of the rewritten manuscript as they're ready. It's been awesome getting early feedback, and honestly, you guys are catching stuff I never would have noticed.

I know, I know, only took me forever to get this sorted. Paid members will be getting the "Acolyte" role (which is going to be the new name for the paid tier when we update everything in September—felt more thematic than "supporters" or whatever). Come hang out, ask questions, complain about my writing choices, the usual.

Writing Updates: I've been working on a side story whenever I'm waiting for editing notes to come back, and I've also fully outlined Book 2. Without spoiling anything, we're starting to realize my writing style is apparently "first half slice-of-life, second half absolute chaos." Just like Book 1, it looks like Ben's going to have a relatively chill time until everything goes completely sideways around the midpoint.

Growth & Thanks: We're still growing now that I slapped that [Completed] tag on Royal Road, which is wild to me. Thank you all for sticking around through the rewrites and updates and general authorial madness. You guys are the reason this whole thing works.
