What Happens When Part 2 Is Done?

Alright, so let’s talk about what happens when Part 2 is officially done and posted. The plan is to have it wrapped up over the next month or so, and then do a full release of chapters afterward.

So, what happens once all of Part 1 and Part 2 are up on Royal Road? I get to edit and rewrite all kinds of shit. And when I say rewrite, I mean going back through everything, fixing all the stuff that’s been nagging at me, and tightening it up for a proper release.

Once Part 2 is complete, I’ll be taking a hiatus from Royal Road until probably October. Why? Because I’ll be deep in editing hell making sure Rise of the Paladin feels like a proper book and not just a fever-dream I post online.

What That Means:

• Fully rewritten and edited Books 1 and 2 will likely be ready for release six months apart.

• Unless, of course, something better comes along—because I’m making this up as I go.

What That Doesn’t Mean:

• Patreon isn’t going anywhere. I’ve already got fun snippets, voted extras, and random projects to share here.

• These won’t be sold or locked behind a membership. I don’t want anyone to feel like membership is necessary until there’s actually something worth the money.

Royal Road Return Timeline:

I’ll probably be back on Royal Road with Part 3 (Book 3? Whatever we’re calling it) this winter, following a similar release schedule as now. At least, that’s the hope. Trying to keep all of this moving is pretty much taking up every moment I’m not doing my day job.

Big Thanks & A Quick Note

Seriously, thank you to everyone here reading early chapters. If you’ve noticed they’re slightly different from the Royal Road versions, it’s because I’m dropping them here as soon as I have them ready on Wednesday. They get a quick edit pass, but sometimes I’ll tweak things before Friday’s Royal Road post as I reread and obsess over them.

My goal is to reverse that process ASAP and make sure everyone here gets the best version of each chapter first.

Oh, and once Part 2 is complete, I’ll be releasing the “original” Part 1 and Part 2 as ebooks here on Patreon so you can hang onto them forever—if that’s something you’re into. They’ll likely have to be burned down if Amazon’s rules decide to be a pain in the ass later.
