Yeah, this was a satirical film, for sure. Paul Verhoeven's, ultra violent, critique of America, in the 1980's. Hence, the out of control crime, and corporatism. While it certainly reflected the reality of the time, to a degree. It, also reflected the judgmental arrogance and conceit, of a European elitist, too. Setting that all aside though, it's great fun, and a true classic. He, also directed, "Total Recall" and "Starship Troopers", as well. Both are well worth a watch.

Great reaction to this Teegan... I love this movie. If youre interested in learning more about this, there is a great 4 part documentary on Amazon Prime called Robodoc.. and it is very in depth .. you'll learn who the Ms. Sahara Desert secretary is in real life.. its quite hilarious given the scene she's in.. thats all Ill say.. go check out the doc.. I think youll like it a lot. And by the end of the 4th part, you will then know way more than you ever thought you could know about Robocop. Also, thanks for fighting thru the pain to watch this.. you're a rockstar.

Yeah, I couldn't figure out the reason for those German non-subtitle subtitles, either. I watched it on Prime, same as yourself. Another great reaction video. Sorry you weren't feeling too great. Thanks for going through with it and sharing it with us anyway.

Classic. My uncle seen this in the theatre back in the day. He said in the final moment when the Old Man asks "Nice shooting son, what's your name?" and Robocop replies "Murphy" before smiling and walking off the crowd attending burst into cheers and applause 👏👏👏

The movie when release was successful at the box office.
I had a hard time getting an R rating, due to it's violence.
It has some backlash, due to marketing having a lot of toys for children and people saying it was not for kids.
Peter Weller was great, oh sorry that is Dr Peter Weller, he get upset if you not call him Dr. I learned that when I met him.
Nancy Allen is so nice and sweet in real life.
