As Walt and Jesse's storylines were growing more serious, it was smart as hell to bring in this explicitly comic character to pick up the slack with the laughs.

2026-02-24 04:01:21 +0000 UTCBetter Call Saul is arguably a better show than Breaking Bad in my opinion. Steve Odenkirk is a surprisingly good dramatic actor. The prequel show is about his descent into becoming Saul Goodman.. and what a journey it is. And the name Lalo that he mentioned when Walt and Jessie has the gun on him in the desert.. is actually an important name to remember if you watch Better Call Saul after BB. I highly recommend it. I would love to rewatch that with you as well.

The Jew thing I just do for the homeboys -- they all want a pipe-hitting member of the tribe, so to speak." Love those lines, love that delivery, love how it's just something he says off the cuff and the show moves on while leaving you with the bag and no time to process it, haha.
