This is really satisfying to me. In a lot of stories people unthinkingly blab sensitive information, but nothing comes of it. I'm glad to see the consequences of not respecting OPSEC; they make the story feel a lot more real.

Well, not really. First, they would probably not expect mc to go there that fast. They know about when he last ascended floors. So there is a good chance they are not camping yet, and they can get past the boss quickly. And if they get past this one, they might not expect him to have done that, and would camp later at floor 2 boss. Also, we have seen he does not have to fight the boss to get to a bigger rank. So he can grind to rank 10 himself and just off someone camping there. He is much stronger than someone of same rank, having beaten a rank 5 at 2. When he has a bit larger kit he is comfortable using... He could also do a tricky, and show his face at floor 0 every now and then. Like he grinds to rank 5 at floor 2, and everyone would think he is already above floor 2, so they'd obviously not camp that boss anymore, leaving them free to actually kill it and ascend.

Agree, a bit too much drama, not much dungeon crawl (they did dungeon crawl, but it’s not to the full potential and it’s like eat a fish and there’s that one bone)

Shame the floor bosses are static. Being they have the man power, and money, just camp a few rank 10s at the boss for a few years and MC dead in the water Through I do like the story so far

I'm also not liking this, I'm not surprised the families are not fighting the black hellions but this is getting a little too dark for me at the moment. I get that there is likely no way for sorin to climb at the pace he wants without drawing both kinds of attention, but all of the starting issues in this tower seem insane.
