Oh shoot, I didn’t know that about the cherry coloring! That’s definitely not good 💀 I also didn’t know that about bananas, that’s interesting! I will say that to me, artificial banana flavoring is one of the good ones usually. It’s not typically too off but just more concentrated tasting. As for the cottage cheese, it was weird because my mom called and told me not to get chicken at this specific store too. Apparently she bought some that was already spoiled ; o ; Part of me wonders if the recent storms maybe knocked their power out or something? I’m not sure. If you choose to watch The Menu and The Bear I hope you enjoy them! They are both really good, even if you don’t cook! I love stuff that just has an overall message that anyone can appreciate ^_^ I hope you have a great 4th of July weekend Kench and stay safe!! ✨

That would make sense why I never liked grape jelly in a PB&J haha! 😆 As for cheese, I know when my grandma had a block and it had a mold spot she’d just cut it off. But yeah, with soft cheese- no, no, no lol. Kitchen Nightmares is a good show too! I will say some of them kinda gross me out though 😭 I don’t know how in the world some places got that bad. My favorite part is always when he tries the food and just totally shits on it in the beginning lol 😂

And about those candied cherries for desserts, did you know that the red dye used to make them that bright is getting banned? There are concerns over potential cancer risks. Totally get the whole "the low-grade version is nothing like the real one" thing, there are a bunch of foods where the quality and the freshness aren't just a part of maximizing flavor, but where it's just not the same ingredient at all. Don't know if it counts as better/worse, but while I"m thining about it, did you know banana artificial flavoring isn't actually as "off" as we think it is? When it was first made, it was pretty bang-on close to what most bananas tasted like at the time, but then in the 50s, a banana blight wiped out most of that strain of banana, forcing producers to switch to a different type that tastes nothing like banana flavorings did. -------------- Fffffffuuuuck that on the moldy cheese, girl, that sucks ass. There's not much for me to add here, lol, it's just like, sometimes you look down and get the grocery equivalent of realizing you stepped in it and I empathize with that. Must've been a bad batch, like, not pasteurized all the way or sealed properly. -------------- Haven't seen The Menu, but I know of it! Guess I'll put it higher up on my To Watch priority list, make it the first movie I watch after I get back home from celebrating the 4th with family. And in the same vein, I'm usually not one to watch cable TV, but after that glowing recommendation of The Bear I almost feel obligated to give it a watch lol <.< ----------------- Looking forward to T3! 2025-07-04 19:54:55 +0000 UTCA little fun fact about grape flavour is that it's not based on the typical grapes we eat, but rather the Concord Grape, which is used for a variety of grape=flavoured things, compared to red or green ones that we normally see in supermarkets. As for the cherries on ice creams - Or cherry bakewell tarts over here - I can't stand those cherries either, compared to the norm. I used to hate them too, until I tasted a real cherry (Used to have a few fruit trees in the garden, damson, cherry, pear, apple, but we've only got the apple one now) Also mould in cottage cheese..? With a hard cheese I'd risk it depending on how bad it looked, but a soft cheese? Good call to discard it. I don't really watch many cooking shows myself though, bar probably a few Hells Kitchen episodes and Kitchen Nightmares, I don't know what it is about KN, I just can't get enough of it. But I have seen a few clips of the menu- and with that had the whole film spoiled, so hey-la.

2025-07-03 02:55:57 +0000 UTCI hate artificial grape flavor so much like it’s actually the worst one of the worst things I’ve ever tasted I hate. As for cherry’s I don’t mind the artificial flavor but I’m not a big fan except for those chocolate covered ones are so good personally my favorite artificial flavor though is banana flavored stuff like laffy taffy’s. That sucks when stuff goes bad before you even use it I bought some chocolate milk 3 days ago and forgot it in my car for a few hours and it spoiled I was so sad. Cottage cheese actually has substantially less lactose than most milk products so that makes sense. Cooking is something I love to do and to watch I’ll definitely check those shows out. I think being a chef would be cool but probably not something I wanna do professionally I don’t know if I’m good enough to even do that but I think regardless I’d rather just keep it as something I do for fun cooking for myself and those around me I wouldn’t want it to become a source of stress in my life. Hell’s Kitchen is so good Gorden Ramsey idiot sandwiching people has to be one of my absolute favorite things ever! My personal favorite cooking shows are probably iron chef good eats and anything else with Elton John and Gorden Ramsey just the perfect mix of educational and entertainment. Just be yourself is honestly some of the best advice you can give some one id like to think ive taken that to heart Id like to do some more creative projects im just so busy most of the time but things are settling down for me so I should find some more time I’d love to get into blacksmithing it combines so many things I’m interested in from badass weapons and armor any sort of metal accessories metallurgy fire and just thee ability to create something I can use and have fun with and also I just find the whole process fascinating it’s an art form steeped in metal and fire it’s perpetually beautiful to see a new blade come to life for me. Also you voice even with allergies is still very relaxing I always enjoy listening to you talk about things your interested it’s fun to hear about and your movie and show recommendations are usually in my wheelhouse.
