I hear lunarians do birthdays and anniversaries all the time. It's a weird concept, but I like to watch the excitement. I'm glad you were finally able to find some cards! We don't have any stores that sell cards...or really any stores at all, but you make them sound very exciting! I did recently find some new rock friends, they don't talk much, but I enjoy the company. Thank you again for the birthday wish :D I will be listening to a nice Alichu audio while hanging out on the moon!

They are absolutely insane right now which is why I was so excited to find something! I think mine was about $45 for the collector’s pack, but if you go online I’ve seen them go anywhere from $75-$100- FOR ONE PACK 💀 😭 Now the pokemon and normal draft packs were usual retail price (about $5-$8). I hope you’re able to get some though and that’s super cool about the deck! :D I’d love to have a Sephiroth card now. I got a Cloud and Tidus card so I just need the bad boy for the good boys lol xD Oh yeah, I love the whole “In one minute the earth will explode!” Dialogue 😂 It’s like that SpongeBob meme- “two hours later” and one minute still hasn’t passed lmao.

2025-06-22 21:59:00 +0000 UTCDefinitely don't mind when things take a darker turn - adds more variety. :3 And congrats on pulling the Mimikyu! :D As for the monkeys - yeah, I totally get where you're coming from. I always think of "The Murders in the Rue Morgue" by Edgar Allan Poe or that one infamous police phone call... monkeys can be terrifying when they snap. Super smart, but also really unpredictable and strong - not something I'd want to deal with in person. 😅 And nice pull on those FF boosters as well! Those displays are going for absolute madness right now. I would love to open some too, but yeah... the prices would really hurt my wallet... D: I ended up settling for the FF14 Commander deck - there was no way I was passing up a deck with Y'shtola and G'raha Tia in it. <3 The pacing in older anime really was wild. Death Note will always be iconic, but I saw that video where they cut out the inner monologues, and it's hilarious - just staring each other down in dead silence for minutes. xD And don't even get me started on Dragon Ball... "Just five more minutes!" - cue 4 episodes of screaming, flashbacks, and charging. The stuff they managed to cram into those "five minutes" was truly something else. xD But honestly? I wouldn't trade those shows or that era for anything. They were just peak. :>

And definitely understandable about monkeys! Those things can get nasty!!! But I keep coming across that one video where the guy is giving this one monkey fruits and snacks and what not and it just like so appreciative lol And I'm looking forward to listening to the horror ASMR, less for ASMR purposes, but I love the story aspect! (Still think you should listen to Malevolent and The Magnus Archives podcasts, I think you'd love them ^_^ And if know I commented on Twitter, but the outfit was on point both IRL and in the art! 2025-06-20 14:21:47 +0000 UTCThe scalper situation really is something that, frankly, I think is just silly and will go away in time. Maybe it’s because I’ve been into TCGs so long, but this isn’t the first time it’s happened. Those people are like vultures, they’ll come when it’s convenient for them and move onto the next big thing when it isn’t. I think it’s just getting more attention now because Pokemon (specifically Pokemon Pocket) really blew up, so it’s even more well known than it already was. I think scalpers are under the misconception that all pokemon sets sell hot and fast and that just isn’t the case. Sorry for the ramble reply, I find this topic interesting too and couldn’t help but go on about it haha! X3 Thanks for sharing your vendor interaction though! I hope you had fun at the anime convention too. Did you buy anything cool? :D I also agree with your comment on anime pacing. I know back in the day it was common for the anime to catch up too quickly to the manga!

When I was at that anime convention, I struck up a convo with a TCG reseller about how scalpers are impacting his side of the business, and it was interesting: individual cards not so much because scalpers aren't interesting in buying those, but the boxes or pre-packaged sets are impacted because that's what they aim for. While he's finally able to sell at and above msrp with little argument from most customers he also wants to sell at a price fair enough to beat the scalper prices but also discourages scalpers from buying and turn around at a higher price. I guess if Casual Geographic has anything to say about it, monkeys and apes are certainly animals to be weary of. You do raise a fair point about the pacing of old anime compared to current. I guess with the limitations of animation at the time and wanting to stretch things out so as to not catch up with the manga that's why they were paced the way they were. Now, anime isn't as bound to old limitations, and can always just go on hiatus to let the manga breathe if needed before continuing to the next season. Using yourself as reference for your own art, especially if the character matches you can certainly make things easier on you to draw.

Gonna watch it either way, but I'm curious. But have you ever considered doing a reverse horror ASMR? Like the listener is a human hunter chasing after a monster girl killing her at the end? Don't know how you feel about suggestion, but I've never seen a ASMR roleplay like that. Real life Ali vs Ali! Saw it on Twitter, killer outfit btw! Artist got style both in outfit and designing characters. A dislike of monkeys? Didn't know you followed the teaching of Suguru Geto... 🤨 Final Fantasy magic set? Didn't even know they made cards for that game. Personally, I know almost nothing bout that series, all I know is that Sephiroth is definitely top 10 character designs. The one angel wing and the comically long skinny sword. Not to mention the white hair is just the icing on the cake. And the last bit about old anime being slow paced is honestly facts. Personally, I feel that modern anime has taken a crazy pivot since sometimes they just go to fast for me 😵💫 Always love a good ramble, see ya in the next one!
