Haha you jinxed me! XD lol I kid, I kid. Honestly, I think it’s the night shift schedule I’m on at the moment for work. It’s not the schedule necessarily, but sleeping during the day while it’s hot as heck outside really stinks 😭 Your stance on anime/movies is totally relatable and understandable. I do have some exceptions for long running series (Naruto, One Piece, etc.) but those are classics in my opinion. I think the thing that makes me lose interest nowadays is the extremely long wait time in between seasons. I get that things take time, but come on- if I have to wait three years for another season I’m 100% going to forget everything and just not care as much. I know that may sound harsh but that’s just how my brain works ; o ; I swear that damn Oceangate had me in a chokehold when it came out- I just couldn’t believe how insane the whole thing was. It’s like my brain couldn’t rationalize it. I don’t believe I’ve heard of the Byford Dolphin Incident before- I’ll have to check it out! :)

I know some animes are meant to bring viewers into the manga or game but even still- give me something to hold onto! 😭 lol I think I stopped watching the Final Destination movies after the third one. No reason in particular, I just totally forgot about them haha! I do remember the lasik eye surgery scene giving me nightmares though 💀 I’ll have to check out that YouTube channel! I love mystery stuff like that so I’m always up for giving it a go ^_^ I also 100% agree: the cheap ass controller would have had me like, “Hell no!” Absolute insanity, I swear!

2025-06-10 09:43:27 +0000 UTCIt's funny that you should mention being low energy so soon after I told you I don't know how you always seem to stay so productive :P I'm a firm believer in coffee fixing most things though. I feel you when it comes to difficulties getting into/sticking with certain anime. I don't want to sound old, but I miss when more anime consisted of just like one or two seasons. I rarely find myself able to watch newer things because I hate getting invested in the characters and making the time commitment just to be disappointed or lose interest. There's not much (media wise) that sucks more than having to stick it out for a series just because you're too stubborn to stop watching. I have similar feelings on live action TV as well. That's why I tend to be more of a movie person, I think. Your self-awareness is commendable, but this is YOUR ramble, after all. You could probably have just spent the whole time spreading your knowledge of Oceangate and the Titanic and most people would still tune in. Speaking of which, if you find macabre, ocean related disasters fascinating, you should look into the Byford Dolphin incident. Probably doesn't have the depth (ocean puns, right?) of the other topics, but interesting, nonetheless.

Hope you had a wonderful day. :3 Really love how you're personalizing the new tier - it's such a thoughtful touch and makes it feel that much more special. :D Totally feel you on the anime pacing issue. It's so often either way too fast with plot packed into every second, or painfully slow with barely any character growth. Accel World was such a prime example of that - the anime just got interesting and then… it ended right as the real arc was getting started. D: (Was still a good anime, though) Binging is definitely more comfortable for me too. Cliffhangers drive me nuts when I have to wait a week or more for resolution. Speaking of binging, I may or may not be guilty of running through the entire Final Destination series this weekend. xD I'd already seen some of them before, but I wanted a full refresher. Morbidly fitting too, considering the OceanGate theme you mentioned. The whole situation around that was so tragic, but at the same time… also kind of baffling? Like, the second I saw that controller, I would've immediately backed out. That alone was a huge red flag. xD Still, I can't deny there is something strangely fascinating about how it all played out. If you're into that kind of deep-dive stuff, I'd totally recommend "On The Verge" on Youtube - they have similar videos, especially with cave and exploration stories that hit a similar eerie vibe. ^^
