ali rambles: my time living in CA and another thank you! ♥

I ended up putting in a rain background because the natural one wasn't loud enough :') The Hollywood Undead song I mentioned is called "Everywhere I Go" lol :P

I forgot to talk about my first apartment experience in this! I wish I did because that was pretty funny looking back on it- maybe another time. Like I said, I have a bunch of nice memories here but if I shared them all this audio would be way too long- I just talked about the ones that came into my head first xD

Comments

I'm happy to hear that! I definitely don't want any of you to feel rushed to listen or comment. Enjoying stuff at your own pace makes me the happiest :) It doesn't matter if it's on something older I try to always get to comments- especially here on Patreon because this is my favorite place hehe :P Congrats on starting college, that's really exciting! I wish you the best in your classes ^_^ If you work and go to school just be sure to pace yourself. I had a hard time keeping up with both sometimes so just be sure to take a breather now and then. As for me I got a business degree! Mainly focusing in HR but it was interesting and fun :) I can say confidently that the best Mexican food here is from places like that lol. It's always the small little places that have the best food! Since I'm lactose intolerant though that quesadilla you mentioned probably wouldn't have worked out for me :') It does sound good though- good enough to test fate haha!

Right back at you, thanks for all that you do for us! Honestly I feel called out for the "sorry for commenting late" thing lol, trust me I know there's literally no reason to apologize but honestly that's just a me thing, I'm just overly apologetic. (even IRL tbh) Funny story, someone once accidentally closed my foot in a door at work and I apologized to them for being in the way, much to their confusion lmao, so just know that I don't feel rushed in the slightest to comment! Speaking of which both the reasons you listed were why I was MIA for a little while. I was busy prepping to start college in April and I also took a semi-break from the internet. Speaking of which, that's awesome that you're the first graduate in your family! If you're okay with saying, what was your degree in? Also I have seen Del Taco in both Oklahoma and Texas so maybe there's hope for you yet! I maintain that the best Mexican I've had was some street tacos in Texas but I did have a FIRE quesadilla from a foodtruck while I was in Cali. They packed it to the brim with birria and cheese and fried even MORE cheese on the outside (was probably a days worth of calories on its own). The old abuela working the register was super sweet, but she did try to hook me up with her granddaughter haha

Secular Succotash

The Alichu California stories anthology would be something lol. I can confirm Del Taco is good, but I haven't had it in so many years that I don't even know what they have on their menu. I'll keep that in mind though if I see one in the near future

ROLY POLY!! Oh my gosh, I didn't know you guys called it that and I love it! xD I don't know why but that really made my day. I imagined a cowboy going, "There goes another one of those roly polys" in an Australian accent and I love it so much lol.

Any and all music is accepted here! Hell, tomorrow I'll recommend a genre I don't normally do. Feel free to post whatever songs you want Skelly :) And whaa?? Your dad looks like Keanu?! How lucky of him! You know that comedian Tom Segura? I swear my dad looks too much like him so it's weird when I'm listening to his specials lol. I appreciate your comment Skelly, thank you ♥ It makes me happy that so many of you enjoy talking on here. Every time I come on here I get really happy to reply to you all :) The last thing I want is for anyone to feel rushed though. Even if it's on something older it's OK. I really do love getting to know all of you and hearing your thoughts on stuff! And you definitely make me laugh as I'm sure others can say the same, so thank you for that too. You have quite the funny bone :P

alichu

lol two comments for the price of one. Don't worry, the same thing happened to me where it was both a reply and a comment but I got rid of the reply luckily so I'm pretty sure editing it was good enough.

BloodyAzazel

Thanks Joker, I'm glad you enjoyed them! :D I could have done a few more but I didn't want it to end up being an 1+ long haha! I knew you guys had In-and-Out, wasn't sure about Del Taco but that's good- you can confirm that it's the ultimate late night food! You have to get the bold burritos with plenty of sauce! :P

Apologies for another comment. I think Patreon is glitching out on me so I'm going to put it again just in case. Ignore it if you already got it haha! xD You know, that's probably my one regret living here is that I didn't take more time to properly learn Spanish. I did pick up a few things having been here but not enough to hold a conversation by any means haha! But I really have come to love the culture and food here for sure and I'm going to miss it. If we're talking Mexican food, I've come to really appreciate a good salsa and guacamole- both of which I really disliked before moving here haha! But hey, I never knew what good Mexican food was before living here so you can't blame me :P I'll always remember this little place I go to get taquitos and flautas...my God, they are the best. Just typing it is making me want them lol. I enjoy both those Hollywood Undead Songs! Tbh, there's only a few I'm not the biggest fan of. Gravity is another big favorite of mine- going to be blaring the shit out of that when I leave haha!

Haha, I appreciate that- thank you! But seriously, I do appreciate all of you very much ^_^ Welcome to my Patreon btw, it's great to have you! ♥

Yeah, there's no sugar coating that one- it does kinda suck :') Sometimes I get a little upset about it, but I did learn a bunch of helpful and cool things. I'm sure in some way it will help me out in the future! Who knows, maybe when I move I'll find something where I can show it off hehe :P As for gambling, it's just for a fun vacation haha! I've definitely never went out there to expect anything nor do I go over a certain limit. There's usually other stuff to do too like shopping, shows/events, etc. It's just a nice little getaway when you want to chill and hang out :D I know some people really get into it, but I just see it as a vacation spot :p Oh, I'm definitely going to be taking some pictures! I'll probably never travel across country ever again so you all can expect some pictures for sure! :D

I've never heard of that tabletop game until now- I love tabletop games! I had a moment a few years ago when I was buying random ones just to try them out. I do love vampires so maybe I can check that one out sometime :) Medicine is a good song too, I like that one! If I had to meet someone from a band here it was pretty fitting for it to be a Hollywood Undead member haha! Very happy to have experienced that for sure. I'm happy you enjoyed the ramble, thank you! I'm glad to hear it makes your shifts a little easier too ♥ Have yourself a great weekend! :)

Omg your mother's tumbleweed realisation reminds me of when I saw one for the first time. They're called roly poly's in Australia and I saw a lone one drifting across a road in the outback. Full on had that western whistle 'wah wah wah' song playing in my head like it was high noon.

Maybe I'm just lucky but there are some good Mexican restaurants where I live, even in this middle of nowhere. At one point I was going to recommend a Hollywood Undead song, but I thought maybe no one here would like it. The closest I've come to famous people is that people say my dad looks like Keanu Reeves lol. Also I just wanna say, I don't comment or talk because I feel like I have to, I do it because I want to. Your stuff helps keep me sane, and for me it would be like not talking to a friend that just helped you out. I don't do it out of obligation but because I want to, and I think a lot of us feel that way. Also If I can make someone laugh every now and then, that would make me a happy skelly.

Sir Skelington

We need español Alichu pronto.

As someone from AZ I can confirm we have both Del Taco and In-and-Out! Shame to hear that you won't be getting good Mexican food when you move back tho. Good stories all around, my brain is kinda fried from this week so I don't really have much to add lol. But they were all very interesting to listen to!

JokermanTalon

You did say you make asmr for us to enjoy, but why would we wanna rush it. Every aspect of asmr is similar to the aspect of commenting. Asmr is meant to relax you, whether I'd be relatable, comforting, funny, etc, and commenting is no different since eventually you will get to those comments when you have time. Doing it quicker just adds more stress during an asmr video and thus increases the amount you spend on relaxing at any point. I heard Mexican food and that just took my heart. Being Hispanic, I just have a kinda love/hate relationship with Mexican food. All of the Mexican can be good and my god, making it yourself in some occasions is always good to do, but its just the way you are given the food thats different, whether it would be Tamales, Gorlditas, Fajitas, and more. I'm just gonna start having thoughts now of the day Alichu makes a Mexican asmr where I could just picture her with a Sombrero on and just a mustache for some reason trying her best to speak Spanish just so I could comment of what she says wrong and such(kidding lol). Also, while I do agree that the south doesn't have as many good places to eat, at least we finally have a Dunkin Donuts here after a millennium it feels like lol. California is a pretty good place. Despite only being there for 3 months after I was flying back from my trip to Mexico, it's got good atmosphere, and overall is pretty cool. xD bruh the "You ate shit" comment had me diying. Reminds me of an old clip where they did some skateboard stuff from a game and when he failed the trick they just kept saying "You eat shit." Hollywood Undead is good, whoever hates them just have no understanding of millenniums(jk, don't take it seriously please). Two of the songs I listened to them is War Child and Riot, both equally good.

alichuart: "Don't feel obligated to stay in patreon" me: No! take my money XD

Huh, an university graduate, yet not working in your field? It truly sounds weird to me: where I live, *everybody* manages to find something after graduating, even in a side field, thanks to the skills associated with their little paper. Why does the US work differently? What is wrong with this apocalyptic hellhole of a third-world country wearing Gucci belts?? 😢 That sucks. That really, really sucks... congrats on graduating tho!! :')) time to become Doctor Chu! And you've been to casinos?? Someone didn't play enough Mario Party owo I often joke in class about how MP taught me how luck is bullshit and unpredictable, so I refuse to gamble any money... Thus I didn't know about the free-frink waiters-waitresses! Huh. Is that even the same here?? Again, this sounds like such a departure... bonkers to me. Drinks and gambling should be illegal together. '_' Keep packing uou bibliomaniac!! You'll get attacked and book needs will steal all your boxes for themselves and leave the rest alone as you travel. ;P we need a pic of the entire army of boxes. 📦

I don’t think I’ll have many opportunities to visit California myself. However, I know a lot about the area thanks to Vampire the Masquerade tabletop games I’ve played with friends, and because of VtM:Bloodlines. California - specifically SoCal - is a popular setting for different chronicles. I’m glad you’re leaving California on a positive note, though! It’s always hard to move away from somewhere with so many memories. I had to do the same thing when I moved out of Chicago to go back to my home state. You mentioning Danny from Hollywood Undead, that reminds me of my favorite Hollywood Undead song “Medicine”! That’s really cool that you got the opportunity to experience that! Thank you for the kind words and pleasant ramble, Ali. They always make my work shifts more tolerable!
