There in the distance you can see them looking your way. Where the hell are you and how do you go back to your warm cozy bed? Before panicking you see a girl sitting in front of you. She seems nice, maybe she could offer some advice or at least know what's going on. You notice she's humming to Hawthorn Heights though and her clothing seems rather dated. It was then you realized you traveled back in time.

Apologies that my replies on here and youtube are a little slow at the moment. I worked a bit late last night and my throat still hurts from the wendigo (I knew it would, I called it lol). I ended up staying up all night, but I do have today off so I'll get to them later after resting some more :) Until then, it's sleepy time for me!

Not sure if they have it in Canada but it's SiriusXM. If you can get it, I highly recommend. And yes, you are right in that I am indeed a Millennial! Nice to have a fellow one here :D

I really only have it because it was part of a deal- I sure as hell wasn't going to buy it full price lol. You reminded me that I should really go through my youtube too. I completely ruin my recommended if I do research on a certain type of monster, etc. for a character. Sometimes it's cool but other times I prefer to not be scared xD

I never have never really had phone envy, probably cause I don't really use my phone for much, and that's even true today as I still have an iPhone 11 just because I like that it's purple lol. The weekend has been fun so far! Servers were down for a bit yesterday morning but worked for most of the day. Also I understand that too well, in the last few months I have unsubscribed from a few people that I have been watching since Middle School because I just couldn't keep up with everything in my YouTube feed. I feel a bit more free to watch random things now at least!

Loads of my HS classmates had such parents, like my pal we call "GG" - for real - who had former-hard-drug-using parents who stopped for the sake of their kids... Wild stuff. Then marijuana became legal in Canada so at least that exists. I've always been surprised by how... *No* metal music passes on the radio, at least here. Hard metal I get it, screamo-metal as well, but not even Iron Maiden or Metallica who were very popular here is weiiiird. Is it the same down south? We shall be boomer parents who protect our kiddos from the current Internet for sure!! Finally, I find someone around my age - you're around 30 right? 2024-02-25 12:40:37 +0000 UTCThis side of the pond there's a shopping centre called Bluewater, around 2005-ish they put out a code of conduct for shoppers that included stuff like not being allowed to wear hoodies (more specifically all clothing that could cover your face) or caps on their premises, and in general hoodies were considered part of gang culture back then, even the then PM said something about it iirc.

With emo, it's similar to the artwork, slightly dyed hair, arm bands( I think), and the pearl-ish type of necklace. For goth, they literally fully wear black, including some black makup shadings for their eyes, and show a sense of no emotion sometimes, may explain why they wear no color at all. Ik you said that you don't mind how you wanna be called but I just wanted to "try" and explain a difference. (The more you know, huh) :)

I think the big thing was people thought they were depressed but I always saw it as a music/aesthetic choice than anything- no different than goth, sporty, etc. Some people called me goth others called me emo, I never really cared at the end of the day lol. The only thing that matters is liking and enjoying what you want, it doesn't matter what genre people put it under- just like what you like :) I will say your hair sounds awesome though! Unfortunately, I could never get mine to cover my eye entirely. I wasn't lying when I said I messed up my side bang back then haha!

She also had the "cool parents" that listened to metal music, can you believe it? lol. The internet is definitely different. Every now and then I thank God I'm not a kid or teen growing up on it. It was a treat when I went to the mall back in the day and I always took full advantage lol. A cheap goth knows their ways around though, black tank tops and jeans ftw :P Ah yes, Linkin Park was such a big AMV band pick back then! One of my favorites was the first big Naruto and Sasuke fight with "superbeast" playing. I can still picture the grainy quality of it now lol.

I was getting like, nostalgic whiplash with every other sentence, especially when you dropped “awesome sauce” like that, felt like a sucker punch to my brain. And that line, “Do I have a girlfriend at least…? I do right? ….right?” That was…painfully relatable haha You know I do appreciate teen Ali tryna help out but honestly…dressing emo might be MORE suspicious given my age lol, and the optics of a grown man dressing as a teen, living in a high school, and hanging out with a 14 year old girl? Still enjoy more of 2010's because that makes sense. And now looking at the art, idk if it clarified if I have a type or IF I am that type. I mainly enjoy dark colors like red and black, but there are those times I do enjoy some light color, but very rarely do I even wear them. For the hair, I can relate to the audio. I enjoy my hair long and covering my right eye and I've actually dyed it Crimson before which looked way cool with the bright light of the sun catching on it. Idk if it's like a bang haircut or what type it is but I do like that type of style. Anyways, more or less I do show emotion to emo, yet I feel more edgy and kinda do think that the old music back then was good ngl. Still doesn't change the fact that I literally have no specific taste in music. I more or less just say "If it's catchy, then I'll enjoy it, but if it's an annoyance to play on repeat, then get it away from me." Current generations terms are just weird and don't feel the same anymore. I still use bruh, but stuff like rizzler, skibidi, and other stuff (idrk :P) are just weird. Besides we had like cool terms before like don't care, didn't ask, L + ratio, etc, but I can't even remember almost all of them anyways.

I also love hearing about old phones. I really loved my old Blue LG Chocolate, I wish I still had it lol. Hope you and everyone else have a good weekend! However the servers have been a bit wonky so if they are down it's back to Helldivers 2. All that being said, I am super excited for next week. FF7 Remake Rebirth comes out!
