Since later this week is Valentines Day, I thought I would record a ramble for said day since I don't have to work- yay! I was wondering if I wanted to talk about some recent manga/books I read and maybe anime, but if you have any suggestions let me know :) I think I'm going to enjoy Valetines with wine and a book because that sounds nice. I don't usually drink wine so I'm sure that will be fun picking one out lol.
Song of the week is one I'm excited to share since I think I found a new favorite artist! The deftones vibe mixed with her voice instantly got me. It's hard for me to just pick one song by her so I'll just suggest the one I heard first: "a dozen roses' by Amira Elfeky

My sister lives in another state so I'm not actually sure what she is gonna be doing on the actual day, but her and her husband will probably be eating many sweets as is tradition for valentines day lol. I am sure I have probably heard more defttones songs than I probably know due to the radio, but I couldn't name many songs by them. I've liked everything I have heard so far tho, just never really looked up much of their stuff. Glad you liked the song! Also that's not too surprising, I know of a few channels that put out the songs as soon as they are available lol.

As for their most recent song Ali, I actually hadn't heard it, it's like how I didn't hear about BMTHs new song until a couple weeks after it came out lol. I loved it though, as I do with basically every Architects song, I really like the message behind it too.

I really like this band now, though I think I prefer "Animals" just because of the shit it makes me feel inside. π₯΄π€ This wasn't the only song I recently discovered in my bestie's shop; I'll save the them for our next song exchange!

Since it's on Valentines Day I hope she gets extra cake and chocolate :P Oh man, if you haven't heard much defttones I highly recommend. I grew up listening to them and there's really no other band that I feel sounds like them (until this one just now which is why I liked it so much lol). I gave that song a listen and it was good! It kinda has that old anime song vibe which I've always been a fan of. Totally random but I just realized that the past couple of times I've looked up something Guilty Gear from you it's by the same dude on youtube. He out here doing the Lord's work for the fandom xD

That makes two of you now that have seen my dear BMTH...I'm starting to get really jealous lol. I've heard this Architects song too! I still listened to it just now because I like it so much lol. I'm happy you enjoyed the recently yandere characters Skelly, that makes me happy! As for the hot pink, I think it's awesome. I can imagine you got some shit for that in Tennessee for sure. But hey, dressing like a goth in North Carolina didn't do me any favors either :P Bro, did you really think I wouldn't know that was from Soul Eater, come on now! I used to have some really strong opinions about that anime back in the day. Tbh, when I hear that band, my brain always goes to the Naruto song they did which was very fitting! :)

I'm wondering if I want to get those cheap chocolates that come in a heart box or actual good chocolate for when I record lol. It may be fun to try all the flavors, but I know I probably won't like them. You all might like hearing my reaction though so we'll see xD I'm glad you enjoyed the song Antoni! Her other ones are very good too but that one happened to be my introduction while driving to work the other day on the radio ^_^ Oh Architects! I like them very much, so I was already familiar with this song (I still listened to it though because it's awesome lol). Have you heard their newer song "seeing red" yet? That one is really good! :)

I only just discovered Architects a couple days ago by hearing it at my friend's goth shop. They're an awesome band I wish I knew about sooner! Since Valentines day is on a Wednesday, I'm probably just going to be working and playing Granblue with friends. Also calling my sister cause it will be her birthday! The song is really good! It reminds me somewhat of some other song but I am completely blanking right now. You mentioned that they had a deftones vibe but I haven't heard much of their music so I doubt it's that tho. My suggestion this week is based on the fact that it's almost valentines day. It's "Talk about you" from Guilty Gear Strive. One of the few slow songs in the games but I still think it's very good. Also unlike the past few songs I have recommended, this one is not associated with any specific character. It was just used for the credits of the story mode I think.

2024-02-11 03:39:45 +0000 UTCIt's my brothers birthday the day before valentines, and I can't lie, it's the only way I've been able to remember that it existed ever (valentines day that is, not my brothers birthday). The song you recommended this week reminds me of a song I've heard before, but I can't put a name or title to it, I thought it was pretty good! My suggestion, WHICH NO ONE DEFINITELY SUGGESTED BEFORE ME, 'Doomsday' by Architects. I've been listening to them since they dropped Holy Hell, and I was able to see them at the festival I went to almost a year ago now (I'm trying not to mention every time I saw a band there, but this one deserves the mention imo). Had to choose between them (main stage) and Evanescence (2nd stage) π, but I'll admit I don't regret it at all, cause Evanescence was still finishing their set after Architects finished, so I could still hear it. It was also the day BMTH headlined, so when Evanescence finished, BMTH got to come on, that was a 10/10 day.

Fun fact that literally no one asked for, hot pink was my first ever favorite color, as odd as that is for a boy growing up in Tennessee. For topic suggestions, I think it would be neat to hear some of your favorite art styles in anime and manga. As for my song of the week, I'm going for I Wanna Be by Stance Punks. It will make me sad if no one knows where it's from.

The only time a yandere audio sounds convincing is if the listener already has a loving girlfriend or if the yandere isn't attractive (which is quite rare considering they're nearly all anime characters) I agree that pink and yandere go hand in hand, I tend to draw them that way too :P I look forward to the Valentines ramble - as well as the good vibes we'll share together. Being single on Valentines can be taunting, but the awesome thing about this community is we all have each other to talk to and share these holidays with. Damn, the start to "A Dozen Roses" was dreamlike - that alone made the song awesome. Beautiful voice! I myself recently discovered an awesome song & artist that you may already know; Architects - "Animals" Holy shit yess!
