Added 2023-12-27 02:23:16 +0000 UTCHello everyone, I hope you all had a nice Christmas/holiday yesterday! :) I spent some time with family and it was really nice, definitely needed that time to chill and veg out playing games and hanging out by a fire drinking. Hanging out by a fire is probably the most relaxing thing in the world to me, let me know if you feel the same :P
This Friday's Patreon character is going to be a bookworm with a shy/sweet personality via the poll winner last week. I did add a bit of a twist to her after one of you recommended an idea I liked so that will be fun ^_^ Next Friday I thought it would be neat to go back into the fantasy genre, so let me know which one of the following sounds most interesting to you!
As for question of the week I'll ask two: what did you get for Christmas, and do you have any new year resolutions? I'm not very big on resolutions myself, but I do like to think of things I can do better overall :) It may be a little obvious, but I want to try and improve on both my drawing and writing of course! As for what I got for Christmas, I'll be buying myself a new computer very soon :D

You're still sneaky for keeping that secret lol. I knew you were going to get one, but I didn't know you already had it! It's all good though, I got an amazing drawing out of it so I'm very happy :P It's funny you mentioned your laptop because my tablet costed more than the computer I'm using right now too haha! All the more reason I need a new one, it just ain't cutting it anymore. I'm not too big on resolutions either. Like you said, I just try to do a little better than I did. I do look forward to seeing more art from you though! Ngl, when you posted your first digital drawing part of me was like "WTF, how is he already that good just starting out?!' lol. Digital was such a weird thing for me to learn coming from traditional so your transition was really impressive ^_^

I've really only heard of Limbus Company through a couple of you patrons so my knowledge is very limited. I also didn't know those titles were connected so that's cool to know too. Thanks for sharing the connections between the games and books, maybe I can try the game out myself sometime if I get the time (and soon a computer that can handle gameplay haha!).

2023-12-30 22:53:14 +0000 UTCTLDR: Unhinged PM fan yaps about the PMU, Mili and etc. Limbus Company and Library of Ruina are two games set in the same universe (3 games, a couple of books and a shit tonne of worldbuilding) by a Korean company called Project Moon. I'd say their games are fun, but they definitely have their Project Moon vertical difficulty spikes^TM and big learning curves. I'd recommend all three games, but only if you enjoy the genre each one is in (monster management sim, pretty advanced deckbuilder, less advanced deckbuilder gacha game (Very F2P friendly too, at least in my eyes)) Mili themselves created a lot of the songs used in LoR, the whole album 'To Kill a Living Book' was created entirely for the game, and they're also working with PM again for Limbus Company. You don't have to play the games to enjoy the songs, nor do you have to play them in order, Limbus Company especially so, unless you want to know more than what the game tells you about the world and what you're doing. I can't remember the exact order that the books fit in, but I believe the entire order is Lobotomy Corp (game), Wonderlab (book), Distortion Detective (book), Library of Ruina (game), Leviathan (book) and Limbus Company (game). But there's a much better meme out there that you can find if you search project moon lore meme iirc, you'll see what I mean if you see it.

And since that's been going well, this just seem like a natural next step. Hope all goes well with working out if you keep doing it! Also I love to cook but don't have the time to do it the majority of the time. Dishes are not fun but it's worth it for good food!

Huge Mili fan here, I'm under the belief that she can't make a bad song :P I just noticed in the song title that it's from Limbus Company? I haven't played it myself, but I know at least one or two others here who have :) I had never heard String Theocracy before but yet again another great song by her so thanks for sharing that! I'm not familiar with Library of Ruina though so I'll need to look into that one. I'm happy to hear you got yourself the desk, that's great! Setting stuff up like that can be a pain for sure, especially if it's one you have to build yourself with instructions that make no sense haha! xD That's really cool that you can play the guitar. I never really learned to play an instrument so I think it's really neat to hear/watch people who can ^_^ I hope the new year is good to you and wish you the best in all you do!

I definitely have to buy a new computer for it since my dinky little $200 laptop is literally smaller than the tablet itself and it STRUGGLES sometimes haha As for resolutions I’m also not too big on them, I tend to just try and be better than I was yesterday. Though now that I got this tablet I’ve been feeling real inspired to grow even more in my art so that’ll just be a general goal for the foreseeable future

As for the inability to have one interest at a time, I definitely get that. I'm sure that comes off a little when it takes me a while to pick back up on a story with some of my audios xD I can't help it though, when I want to do something I just gotta do it! I even had a cool Lord of the Rings collector's set a while back that I was so proud of (I'm sad it got lost at one point). But I feel the same way. I always tried to learn cool strategies and when I did play it's like they all left my brain entirely haha! I believe in you though, in 2024 become a chess master! :D

And no worries on the mage vote, it seems like that one will be the winner by the looks of it haha! Which is totally fine with me, writing a mage character sounds like a lot of fun :P As for the computer choice, I have a few options in mind based on some stuff all you great patrons have told me! I'm thankful that so many people on here know computer things because I'm still very much a noob lol. I'll probably be buying it sometime this week though on one of my days off! I also thankfully cook a bit often already, it's just uhhhhh slightly unhealthy things. A lot of fried foods in particular

I'd like to start by recommending two curveball songs, bonus points if anyone knows where they're from. I present my Spotify #1 and #2, 'In Hell We Live, Lament', and 'String Theocracy', both by Mili, and KIHOW appearing on the first. My #3-5 were all metal songs though, the duality of man. I enjoyed your recommendation too, I definitely agree that driving hits different with it. Now, for Christmas I got the desk I was talking about, but I've yet to set it up, I've got a few amps in the only corner where it'll fit so I've gotta move them somewhere else first. Also, I have got a resolution, and it's to pick up and play the guitar a bit more, since this year I only managed to sit down with it a couple times. I'm honestly not too sure how I'll do it, considering my schedule isn't really changing, but it never hurts to try 😅. Good to see you had a good Christmas, and I hope you have a Happy New Year Ali!

I got some more miniatures, which I wanted but tbh I have like 60 that I haven't even started to paint, so they're just pilling up. I don't really do resolutions but I do have some things I want to do better, continuing to learn more about cooking and some other things, but hopefully I'll be able to finish a big project of mine within the next two months, mainly since I wanna move on to the next one, my brain wont let me have one interest at a time.

Just ended up getting to do more over the holidays than I thought I would so just a normal amount of sleep was had. Good to hear you had a good break though! My gift is what I ask for every year for the past few years, money to pay off my student loans. For my resolution, I'm not actually sure currently. Something recently happened that may effect what I am doing next year (in a good way though!). But in general I want to cook healthier meals for myself, so that also includes learning how to cook those meals.

I opened it early to make that cheeky message, but it wasn't until Christmas when I could actually take it out and wear it. Other than that, deodorant, aftershave, etc... 'men stuff'. I told myself that my new years resolution will be to eat healthily and commit at least one hour of my day everyday to art & music (each) in order to get better at both. It's gonna be a while before my next finished track, I opted for a genre that turned out really challenging. My target release date is Jan 27, I hope I could keep that up!

I started watching gothamchess on youtube, and his videos have made me want to get back into it. The problem is that I feel like such a dumbass whenever I play. Like, I'll watch a video where he explains all these cool strategies, but when I start actually playing I immediately regress to the level of a monkey picking moves at random.

Had my fireplace going on all day yesterday, and a someone who loves camping, relaxing by a campfire is one of my favorite things lol Looking forward to the next audio! As for the choice, I feel like you don't really see many mage ones, I've seen plenty of goblin/orcs, and even dwarfs, so I had to go with mage, I hope it took my vote cause the patreon app was glitching up haha As for the question, so I didn't get any gifts from anyone, so it was just the car stuff I mentioned before that I bought for myself, but I'm still waiting on those lol I did get my dog some presents though, I'm pretty sure he's aware of what Christmas is because once he woke up yesterday morning, he greeted me and then immediately ran to the tree to go to his new toys and treats haha, as for resolutions, I guess just start up the good habits I used to have, and push through the anxiety I have and get out more lol And did you make a decision on what computer you'll be getting? :D
