Testing my new 3dio and answering some questions! :)

Apologies if I sound weird or clear my throat too much, my throat has been acting up a bit with the weather change lol. I'm still trying to figure out the best settings and volume to talk but I'll figure it out in due time :P
I'm going to try my best to have the Patreon roleplay up later today/tonight but apologies if it's a little late- I was determined to use the 3dio so a little more work has been involved in trying to practice! I also see that I have a few messages and comments on here to get to. Holiday hours are abundant so bear with me xD Replying to messages and stuff is something I really enjoy, so preferably I like to get to them when I'm chilling with coffee at the beginning or end of my day.
Funny side story, my audio editor had an update and now requires me to put in an artist name in order to save as an mp3 file. In irritation I made it "some smelly" because I found that really silly. They really are a revolutionary artist for their time, totally check them out.

As for the birds, there's a bush/tree outside my window that they all like to hang out in lol. Sometimes noises/people/etc. freak them out and they start scratching at my window haha! xD

I do wanna say I don't know about any of the other stuff but I do know if ya have any questions on or about discord and it's "complicated and confusing layout" I can help. (if ya want a YouTube that makes great discord videos watch no texts to speech he basically makes videos on discord for a living)

Non the less the new microphone sounds great I loved some of the background noise like the dog barking and what seems to be birds trying to break in and do an armed robbery. Non the less being able to hear audio coming from each ear separately in better quality is great. And I'm glad ya got an upgrade/scp contraption from how ya describe it

2023-11-06 12:27:43 +0000 UTCI didn't think about turning it around until you two mentioned it- I'll have to give that a try sometime :) like Azazel mentioned, it may be pretty cool for a creepy character at some point. I'm really happy you enjoyed the mic! I'm excited to keep learning and playing around with it some more ^_^ As for the touch thing, I'm not really sure why I'm like that tbh. I've been like that for as long as I can remember- especially my feet touching hard floor; I really hate that. It's weird because running outside barefoot as a kid I was fine- until I stepped on a bee lol. I'm getting used to the ears though- the more I'm touching them the less weird it's becoming haha! As for the fanart of Patreon characters- go for it! I'd love to see it :D The main thing I care about is that only patrons can hear the audio roleplays since I did make them specifically for you all to enjoy. As for art though, please feel free to draw whatever you like ^_^ If you or anyone ever wants to ask me something feel free to as well! You little dumb-dumb! 🤣 Azazel already kinda mentioned this but if it may help, try turning the 3Dio around so that the mic's back is facing you - that might be easier to direct sound to a specific ear without having to think. That aside, the mic sounds amazing! I really look forward to all future audios with it! I totally understand the touch-sensitivity by the way. And no, this isn't me saying "I don't like gooey stuff either". I'm actually neurodivergent and have trouble with - not only touching - but merely being PRESENT around certain materials. At the time of this comment, you shared your WIP of bat doctor pt.2 - so excited for that! I'm also still really glad you enjoyed my fan-art featuring her, moth and wolf-girl. One question I think would've been better than the one asked; Is it okay to draw and Tweet fan-art of characters that are Patreon-exclusive? I've personally tried avoiding that for obvious reasons, but what's your take on it? I actually do have some other questions written down that I wanted to ask. Despite the ears feeling weird I am excited to play with them more :P Part of me is scared to touch them too rough because of how expensive it was but I know that's what they're meant for- just need to get over that and rough em' up a bit lol.

However, I do like trying new things so I usually agree to things at least once. Glad you were able to try a bunch of different avenues with your art to figure out what your want to do!

Most the asmr I consume myself doesn't even show the mic in the video so the visual/feel of it firsthand was an experience lol.

I like to think I've gotten better at that; doing what I want comes a lot easier now. I've gotten those questions a few times recently so I figured it would be good to have it out in the open. I don't really know what I was thinking they would feel like tbh lol. I figured maybe it was hard plastic but even on their site it says silicone, I just neglected to read that part as usual xD

Now let's see if anymore motorcycles wish to make an appearance, or perhaps something even more interruptive haha! xD Having it face backgrounds may be interesting for that type of audio, maybe I could play around with that sometime to give it that extra creep factor. As for licking the ear part of the mic, I already know that's not for me lol. Mouth sounds are my max!

I'm happy this first test sounded good. My goal is to make it sound better and better which will be fun! The way the ears felt was definitely a surprise lol. They really do have that real feel to them which is neat but weird haha! I learned a lot in my time doing art commissions. Most customers are very nice, but the few bad ones have a habit of making you cautious about some things. You're a smart cookie though, so if you ever choose to advertise commissions you'll know the people to stay clear from. And if you choose to only do them for some people that's ok too, only do what you want and makes you happy :) My week has been going good so far, I hope yours is too and you're having fun at the con you mentioned!

I'm so use to the yeti where my right is the mic's right so it's weird having it this way now lol. I really am having a lot of fun with it so far though so I'm happy you enjoyed it :D I really appreciate your pat on the back too, that means a lot! I try to make all this as stress-free as possible since I want it to be something I can always do for fun. As for the past experiences, I'm kinda glad they happened. Not to say they should have happened, but I'm more confident in only making stuff I want to and saying no to people. That kind of thing is hard for some of us, so to anyone reading I want to say if you don't want to do something (art, feeling pressured, etc.) then don't. Only do stuff you're ok with!

I'm all too familiar with the intrusive silly thoughts, I'll wonder to myself should I really say that, and then I think why not, someone will find it funny.

2023-11-03 20:32:43 +0000 UTCEverything sounds really good! Although I'm not very particular with how things sound quality wise. I do however really like how L/R audio sounds with 3Dios tho. I have never actually heard someone comment on how the ears feel before lol. It makes me kind of curious as I always just assumed they had like latex/plastic feel to them. For the questions, I don't think you should ever feel bad about running the channel how you want. Obviously I'm sure you do care about what people have to say but if's something that's going to make you stress or dislike doing the channel, then that's just bad for everyone. So you being "stubborn" in my eyes is a good thing, it lets you enjoy making content for the longest amount of time. It's also not like you never taking any suggestions at all, you do listen to Patreon suggestions.

If you did it backwards, then it's like your trying to do a type of stalking/yandere asmr(unless that was your intention). And I guess that's why you wanted to do another asmr of ear cleaning since it both cleans the ears of the listener and also cleans the ears of the 3Dio. There is also a Suttle difference between you speaking normally to how you had it originally. It sounds more clearer and a lot more ambient than having to listen to any background noise(cough cough* motorcycle), so I guess there's some benefit to it. (Also I guess that just leaves us with no potential ear licking anymore, bummer).

2023-11-03 11:47:22 +0000 UTCHaving been familiar with other ASMR folks using 3Dio, sounds like you have yours set up well. That's an interesting bit about the texture of the ears, sounds like you have a sensitive/particular sense of touch. Going into listening your roleplays from the start, I expected them to be like one-off stories, so seeing the characters come back or referenced in another roleplay is more like a pleasant surprise to me. Even without advertising comms myself, I do get my fairshare of people asking if I do comms, and the odds ones at least for now are sus bots. I would imagine the kind of ludicrous things you probably had to deal with for potential clients, so can understand you hesitation. I had considered the idea of advertising comms, but for now mostly do them if people I feel comfortable with ask me. Honestly, good on you for doing your research on building a Discord server, as I think most people I know either just cobble theirs together and build as it goes, or they have a mod with the knowledge already do the heavy lifting. Hope it's a good day and weekend for you Ali. Keep up the good work. Hopefully someday I can make the time to draw either your persona or one of the roleplay OCs, as I do like a number of them.

2023-11-03 11:05:12 +0000 UTCWow that sound quality was incredible then again I've never heard a 3dio so I could just be a cave man who's never seen fire XD lol but it did sound really good although I can expect you to be doing more like clean audio clean ups or more care as like you its wayyyyy more sensitive then your previous mic and well we also heard it lol. That ear part is definitely me too lol although it would have taken me way longer to release it picks up audio like an actual person I got that npc brain lol. Personal experience can often determine how we feel about certain things or in a certain way. I'm sorry you had to have some negative experiences that well scarred you in a way. I was always wondering why you never did like more then 2 parts and well thats makes sense I never asked as i didn't want to nag or anything and I respected whatever reason you had for not doing so as it's your choice but it's also cool how you integrate your stories with one another literally gonna have the aliartchu verse lol. Gonna say though I think you seriously deserve a pat on the back or whatever appropriate praise for your hardwork like seriously. Like writing your stories drawing your characters answering questions and your job not mention learning how to use the 3dio and how to create a discord it's just insane how you can do all this since your also just one person I'm sure it can get stressful from time to time but your level of dedication and hardwork is inspiring 👏👏👏
