Story Poll 05 Results!

Hello Everybody!

I hope you’re all excited! This has been an absolutely crazy round of polling. The fact that it’s been up for so long gave the public vote a huge surge, but the enhanced weight of the Patreon Vote let the subscribers really throw their weight around!

From the beginning this fight was between Anything You Can Do I Can Do Better and Visit From the /tg/ Fairy - two stories I’m very happy to see doing so well. Anything You Can Do was the clear favorite amongst the $10 patrons, but Fairy was the runaway hit among the public votes. Normally when the patrons put their votes together it’s hardly even a competition, but there have been several times during this voting window that Fairy managed to overtake Anything. Right up the final stretch this was a real photo finish.

Before we get to our winner, however, as always I was asking voters what they wanted to see in the next round of stories and I got a ton of great answers - let’s take a look at the wordcloud!

The replies from the public voters were varied and numerous, and that really shows, but it seems to be painting a pretty clear picture that people are in the mood for some fun silly chaos, so that is reflected in this coming round of stories, many of which feature lots of opportunity for such mischief.

The patrons, surprisingly, did not contribute much to this round’s wordcloud - of all of them I only had two responses! I’ll try to draw more attention to it in this round’s poll postings!

I’ll be posting the next round of polling shortly, but first, let’s take a look at our big winner!

That’s right, Wishes Gone Wrong: Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better Is this round’s winner! The consolidated weight of the $10 patrons proved to be too much of an onslaught and Fairy's lead faded away in the final stretch. This is payback, I think, for the public vote stealing the win for Other Duties in the previous round.

Though it may have lost, I’m quite fond of TG Fairy, so we may be seeing it again in some shape or form in the future!
