1.1.w.2 Build + Patch Notes

This patch is missing some of the stuff that I said would be implemented in w.2, as I’ve been focused on a lot of other things such as: map redesigning, rewriting the overarching story to be more interesting, and creating assets for the Player & NPC face sprites for the upcoming rework. (I’ve gotten like 30/60 parts for it done so far, but I’m going to space out work on it going forwards!)
I plan on putting out a follow-up patch this week. This will include the puffkiss minigame, a lot of new SFX, more music for quest cutscenes, and a whole lot of bug fixes. I’m hoping to get all of this and bounties done over the next week, but that is by no means a promise.
I’ve put off redoing the script that causes all the phantom NPCs for a bit longer, as this will be something that I won't be able to push out updates while it’s in development, similar to the UI changes. The goal of this will mostly be to ensure there are no discrepancies between copies of a character, but will require a lot of rescripting.
A lot of the newer QoL content like the day/night cycle is still quite buggy as well, so bare with me! It’ll be fixed shortly. I just wanted to put it out as soon as possible since its been so long since the last WIP release.
Additions
Added day/night cycle.
Created new overworld music playlists for day/night.
Added Poppeteer class (formerly called “Voodoo” in devlogs).
Finished Sorcerer rework (bug fixes, glossary entries, etc.)
Hotbar system! Now up to six items/actions can be saved to quick access at once.
New NPC interaction items (Jan ‘25 Suggestion Box).
New furniture items (Feb ‘25 Suggestion Box).
New accessory.
Magical satchel item- grants free ammo to gunslingers daily.
Note: This is designed to make up for gunslingers not recovering mana/stamina in the overworld like the other classes. It still must be crafted though!
Implemented new weather system.
Added new off-hand item slot & equipment for all classes.
Balance/Changes
Major UI overhaul.
Gave sorcerer abilities base DMG numbers.
Nerfed enemy “blimp bomb toss” skill.
Now properly accounts for defense.
Equipment now has level restrictions.
Nerfed poison damage per turn.
10% max size per turn >> 5% max size per turn
Berry status now works off time elapsed, not steps taken.
Enemy names simplified
“Bandit A” >> “Bandit”
Buffed Sentinel’s Release:
1.25 ATK >> (1.5 ATK) + 3
Bug Fixes
Conduit status no longer persists outside of combat, or on popped allies.
Party Ring balloons no longer get stuck on the ceiling of a map.
Fizzy Mana Potion no longer deflates the user.
Fixed Sorcerer’s Arcaeno Blast not dealing DMG.
Readded Matron’s Ring. (Accidentally deleted)
Elements from class battle gauges no longer bleed into each other.
Berry statuses now properly inflate party outside of combat.
Fixed some dolls not being available in the shop.
