2024-07-11 00:30:52 +0000 UTCThat’s so funny, my husband tried to use the shellfish (crawfish and shrimp) test on me. For our second date, I invited him over so I could cook for him. The point was to show him me being a city girl didn’t mean I couldn’t throw down in the kitchen but he flipped the script on me. I’d mentioned I’d had a shitty day so he showed up at my place early with ingredients in hand, ready to work. I sat out on the balcony while he prepped the 🦐 and 🦞 and then I heard him shout from the kitchen in his thickest, syrupiest cajun drawl “hey babe, you know how to cut the poop shoots?” 💀 I don’t know if it was his silly charm, the delicious food, or the way he sucked the heads on the crawfish, but whatever it was, I threw the third date rule out that 7th story window so fast ❤️🔥❤️🔥

So was making coffee when our huge family came over. Every. Saturday. Taking orders like modern day baristas. They did prefer the way I made it. So after a while, I enjoyed making it. I love acts of service. That’s my love language for sure. My list of tasks grew longer as I grew older. Dude, im questioning the seagull asap. That question was hilarious (thank you fellow Patrient) Any Italian sandwich, I’m in. The mostly Italian town I pretty much grew up in, would throw broccoli rabe with oil and garlic in their sammies and oh boy. Yummmyyyy love a great sandwich. Don’t judge me, but one of the best things I ate, from on of the many Italian families I had the honor of sharing meals with, was: pizzagaina Holy moly that blew my mind. This was a delight as usual. Thank you.
