I'd be on the line with the director [always a woman] and sometimes they'd feed you the other actor's lines or have you repeat moans/breathes over and over to build a sound bank for the editor. I was told the writers all worked for Hallmark and Lifetime. They were fun sessions. I never felt dirty and always felt respected.
One time I was recording an ad for potato chips. The copy was overly sexualized in one of those deep-voice smooth-jazz ways you've heard in commercials before. I was on location for the job and one of the women on the line was very into my voice. She said things like, "yeah, I like how sexy you are it's turning me on" or "I mean, I think we got it but let's do it again for my pleasure" and that was the first [and only] time felt gross during a VO session of any kind. The editor behind the glass gave me several apologetic glaces and the studio tipped me to cover my lunch for putting up with the client.
Working with Alice was fun. Didn't take long. Very professional. Nice to play off each other. Bonus that I didn't write the script [one less concern in my mind].
We'll get to part 2 eventually but I am sick and *need* to recover for the weekend [contractual obligations] so please enjoy song recs/writings/voiceless content for the time being. Things will be pushed back a bit but that just means more to come. Someone gave me $$ for soup so know I'll be having some hot n sour while wrapped up in a weighted blanket for lunch.
Here's to more collabs and the like. It's a nice change of pace from the creator end.

First of all, I hope you're feeling better. I've been sick myself and I hate it. Second all of all. I finally got to listen to this audio and the way my jaw DROPPED at the last line was not ok. The way you always seem to make me physically respond is wild. I needed a part 2 (I'll beg if I have too)
