We were rehearsing on the set and folks could walk by and peak in on us. Jack [as Salieri] has a lot of monologues directly to the audience and one of these monologues had just began when a man who looked like an anthropomorphized version of the show Jersey Shore walked up about 5 feet from the stage to watch. After the monologue, we took a break and he came up to Jack [and me]
"Hey buddy - you're good. You're real good. But what are you German, Irish?"
Jack looks slightly befuddled, but very amused
"I'm Irish"
Jersey Shore nods
"Yeah see I knew it. You're doing great but you're playing an Itaaaaalian now. We're a very passionate people! We feel hard. We love hard. We fuck hard! We don't hold it in like yous, ya got me? You're great man - but you really got to let it go to be Italian. But look you're great - you're gunna get it. I know you will. Aigh have a good show okay!"
And off he went.

I had to look up capocollo because it’s a crazy word that I’d never heard before and I thought I knew my Italian meats (ahem) and basically I can relax now because in my country we call it Coppa.
