The godless glow of hunger

Embraces me like the gloam of night

[Gobbles me up like a melancholic storm]

And leaves me… bamboozled.

Up, up you reticent decadent!

[This is no funereal dirge!]

Allow me to elucidate:

Your ruminations are as toothsome as a 3-week-old cannoli!

Tis time to climb your Everest!

Stretch your languid body

with the renascent ferocity of a thrice divine tiger

and go!

Dark violet skies are home to a waning moon,

And below the forest of stars

I grip my destiny with hands as carnal as lust itself.

Yet it is with the embouchure of a flutist

I begin Indulging with the nuance of juxtaposed humors.

[slowly but swiftly- like a hurried rest or a soft fuck]

The first bite tenders me with a sumptuous smile

And a sonder surrounds me as I see those around me eat.

Are we not but neglected pets of mercurial gods?

Why, then, should we not engage in dalliance with our delectables?

Home is where our sinews rest - sure.

But vivacious flavor makes the soul regal.

Overcome with visceral reverence

Comforting me like the morning petrichor.
Why be clandestine? Love is no malfeasance.

So no. It is not because of serendipity we find ourselves here.

Our own sage advice is indicative of a self-love far beyond secular caring.

[lest we turn coward and philophobia sets in]

Tacos are the panache of existence.
