【Old】Kaidou's Sketch Book

These are my past hand painted artworks. In recent years, they were uploaded scatteredly to some online platforms like Pixiv and Twitter (but my used accounts have been cancelled by me…).

When I created these pictures, I'm just a high school student and I hadn't a tablet. So I tried a lot of painting methods, watercolor, markers, pens, until I went to university and got my tablet.

These are not all. Most paper manuscripts are lost or sent away. Some of the works were damaged by my high school teacher, and some of them were given to my friends and readers as gifts.

I planned to collect most my works from the past few years and print them into fanart albums for free to my friends and a part of readers (general books, not contain R18 pictures, because the law of my country). However my plan was broken by COVID-19, I decided to upload these pictures files on Patreon.

After I have my tablet, I have rarely painted fanart or cartoon style works by hand (I only use hand-painting for assignments), so there are no more hand-painted works to show (assignment works are not public).

Even without a tablet before, I have tried various possibilities on paper, such as…R18 works…↓

At least, in my opinion at the time, they looked rough, oversimplified, and lacked steady lines and proper body structure.😂😂😂😂😂

For many Asians who grew up in East Asia, these works may be shameful (various aspects)😅 But I continued to paint, without stopping, on any type of work (not only r18 works). Now I am confident in my drawing skills and works.😄

I think my past works have recorded my growth, and can provide a reference for my readers who love painting and begin to learn: persevere and keep learning to grow, try different painting tools.💪💪💪
