The local church-goers have seen a slow but steady descent into insanity as their priest-leader changes the precepts and traditions of the Church of the Three Idols. An inner circle of fervent believers has become violent and daring. The reports of strange lights and sounds coming from the church as of late and the isolated cases of people disappearing in the immediate area of the church do not help.
Unbeknownst to all is the fact that the priest has become the prey of a petrified being that rests for eternity under the church's graveyard. The fiend cannot move but its mind is very much alive. It has taken over the poor priest. It is now nothing but a tool. Together they have successfully summoned a few demonic entities from the abyss. The situation is now beyond the possibility of the local guard. Only a group of strong adventurers can hope to make it!
