354 The Ominous Orb

An evil sorcerer from a forgotten era, long gone, left a lair full with traps and strange artifacts. Strangest of all is a purple-glowing floating sphere in the middle of a runic circle. It located underground in what remains of his lair, after centuries since it was abandoned. The ominous orb is enchanted with a strong necromantic aura that causes anyone who touches it to explode in ashes as if hit by a disintegration spell. Many have fallen victim to this horrible trap over the last few hundreds of years.
However, most of the unfortunate deaths have happened over the last two years since a greedy dwarf found out about the place and now spreads rumors about the riches in the underground complex. He's lead many people there and just lets them loose. The dwarf ignores the reason why no one returns from the ancient location. He does not care, in fact. He only cares about getting some gold out of the deal.
