348 The Endless Mass

Abbot Mihen, an honest and decent man made a terrible mistake. He let himself get carried away with promises of power and influence from a magical tome. The tome played the part of a sacred text that communicated with the abbot and offered insight and knowledge from beyond the veil. The abbot could not avoid falling for the fine calligraphy's charm and, over time, became a slave to the book. It promised the abbot a way to attract the masses and perform a mass that would last forever. Abbot Mihen, misguided, accepted and performed the ritual which would eventually free the demonic entity trapped inside the tome.
The mass started and the ritual created a spherical magical field where time flowed one-hundred times slower. The abbot and a small group of deluded followers disappeared one day and were never found. Now, almost a hundred years later, the sorry group still takes part in the evil ritual, trapped until the demon is ready to emerge from its prison in the pages.
We've used one of the example maps in the past release "Dungeon Tiles" to make this map as an example of what can be achieved. The map is included in the usual formats except B/W because the dungeon tile assets offer no such option.
