If you're in need to reveal some important plot point, a map, or whatever information, here is a cool way to do that. This is the Anfoor Observatory, an arcane eldritch device with the ability to scry into remote locations and other planes. It can also consult written documents and records. The Anfoor is an obscure figure that operates the observatory. The Anfoor now is a gith scholar who is in the place only as an asthral projection. His ethereal form allows him to interact and manipulate the device though. The Anfoor does not judge the information to be revealed. Instead, he serves only as a bridge between a person who wants to learn something, and the information to be discovered.
The observatory uses the position of the stars in some way and cannot be used if it is not the right moment. The moment depends on the location to be observed. Only the Anfoor knows how to operate the device.
