282 New Hindell Ruins

Denizens of the Tower!

So I recently played Dark Souls I and had a great time playing through New Londo Ruins. the place is awesome and it left a lingering impression that I wanted to turn into a short adventure. Now, sure, this location is very different and so is the plot. I just wanted to share the main inspiration for this one. In the short adventure, a vengeful hag poisons a community with a curse that makes them behave like destitute deranged zombies as they slowly die from malnourishment (similar to the poor hollows in New Londo) A small group of still sane people have found a place to hide in a temple-like structure (Area 9). They quickly run out of time and supplies as they wait for someone to break the siege on the temple's front doors. A place of death, a place of despair. Hopefully a group of valiant adventurers will find a way to rid New Hindell from the hag's curse.

The illustration comes in the usual variant formats. Thanks for supporting my work, it means the world to us. And thank you if you've recently subscribed!

Elven Tower

It was a mistake when uploading. The dimensions in squares for the full place are 51x69

Why aren't the dimensions listed?

I liked and hated all of the Dark souls and Bloodborne games equally. I think DS1 remastered is my favorite, though. I think its level design is the best and that's what I came for. DS3 is also pretty great. DS2 was fine. I played it and loved it but parts of it were very frustrating. I'm not actually into the whole challenge of it. I just love the atmosphere. I get frustrated with the lack of a difficulty setting.

If you guys love Dark Souls then you should check out Metal Weave Games "Embers of the Forgotten Kingdom". It is a RPG setting heavily inspired by the Dark Souls franchise.

awesome to know, the world building and level design in DS1 is AMAZING. I ended up a little burned out so I didn't continue with the others yet. Do you recommend playing them in the order you mentioned? Do you recommend DS2?, people give it some shade all the time.

I loved Dark Souls! I just finished Dark Souls 2 which completes the four Souls games for me (DS, DS2, DS3, and Bloodborne). These games have had a huge influence on my D&D games, mostly from the idea that locations can tell a story. Anyway, great stuff!
