Breakfast in Bed [07]

???

This was actually the first page I had finished (and tested around with it, with what I could do to make the colors work, shading, lighting, etc.) I don't draw chronologically from first page to the last, I prefer to jump around.

Because there are always these points in the story that are super interesting to tell/draw and you want to get to them as fast as possible, but there is a lot of stuff in your way before that, which builds to that point. And it might be not as interesting to you in that moment. And I used to think I'd have to force my way through that first. And it used to very demotivate me and made me think, I'd never be able to draw comics. I just don't have the endurance.

But ... I learned I can also just go for the most motivating part first. And then jump to the next and the next. And be open to changes, maybe I'll get an idea in between that fit somewhere and that is also very rewarding to draw? Or I come up with a way to make the ungrateful parts less ungrateful or at least shorter. And after doing so for a while, be able to step back and see the WIP project as a whole and how much I've already drawn and how far I'm in and how little I need to do to finish it up.

Anyone reading this who's also drawing comics or writing stories or something similar?
