A satire that's a total breakdown of American culture from an outsider's perspective in the beginning, and it's been a mainstay of both the games industry and marketing-by-controversy. Kids I was around growing up loved it, but I didn't get the appeal. tried 3, 4, and 5 all, and couldn't get into any of them.

2025-05-08 19:48:52 +0000 UTCI think GTA needs to move beyond pure satire and start having a point of view that it articulates. Satire is subversive but doesn't really advocate for anything. Same way a show like Veep or The Thick Of It wouldn't land the same today - kind of feels like fiddling while Rome burns

The show is pure insanity and genius. I just respect the hell out of it. No show makes me think and laugh out loud by myself more.
