2023-12-11 17:39:03 +0000 UTCI couldn't watch this as I am only on episode four of "Blue Eyed Samurai," but I'm so glad to have Darren's voice in this media landscape. Speaking of the East to West connection: I watch Kurosawa's "High and Low" last week, and was shocked at how predictive/influential the film was about the current western media landscape. From the "True Crime" obsession to the media's infatuation with elites, and even the power of a well made shoe, I couldn't help but see all the babies Kurosawa created, and their babies' babies' babies. If only those babies had scenes as thrilling as the train sequence in "High and Low", what a wonderful world it would be. No questions here. Thanks for the tip on "Blue Eyed Samurai" from a few weeks ago, Darren!
