Ohh Michelle, you might get a poltergeist after you said that about Dominique Dunne, who played Dana the oldest daughter who didn't need to be in this... Well first I want to say you should all watch the sequel, I think it's way underrated and there are two great new characters, same family, but one of the new characters is for 80s kids one of the scariest characters and actors ever. But Dominique Dunne was not in the sequel because she was killed by her boyfriend after this movie. There's this whole "Curse of Poltergeist" thing, it's crazy how many people died during or just around the making these movies, AND It was thought to be a myth, that the skeletons in the pool were real human skeletons. It's confirmed but the FX staff that they were real human skeletons, but apparently that's not new, they've been buying skeletons from medical warehouses since the first movies.

They both worked together on the Indiana Jones movies. And they always love to throw in references from each other's movies. EXP: In Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, at the Senate meeting, there is an alien race, the same kind that E.T. comes from.
