I think you guys would like Les Miserable. It's song styles are simialr, also takes place in France, and it also paints the chuch/God in a positive light, contrary to how it typically is IRL. As an athiest, watching Les Mis might be the closest I've ever come to wanting to be religous due to the stories theme's and the most recent retelling's acting performances.

Nice to see them do the opposite for once. I hadn't watched this movie in years. When Phoebus punched that guard in the face and he flew back with that ridiculous look, I laughed harder than I had laughed at anything in decades.
