Here's a crazy idea Larry that I think would go over very well if you decide to do a cooking episode with the girls in the kitchen. Have it mostly if not all in Bulgarian with English subtitles. Put them on the clock to complete the meal for dramatic tension and comedy. Would be fun to hear Bulgarian curse words should the girls disagree with each other. Many Americans can speak Spanish or some Spanish because Mexico is next door. I. appreciate Larry you wanting to balance and compomise like 50/50. For me it is remarkable how good you and the girls' English is and your awareness of American culture and other cultures is remarkable to me and I'm sure most all of your fans feel the same. Also the girls knowledge of music and when they decide to sing along like they did with their reaction to Cruella and that awesome soundtrack.

Furthermore the language bit, I just remember the first videos when the subtitles were still in Bulgarian / Cryllic language - you all learned pretty fast to say at least and you are on a level where you understand subtle word plays and everything, its great, especially English with your accent sounds good, right direction I would say.

But I have seen some frustration from the ladies when trying to explain more complex ideas. I support any efforts they make for improving the channel and their lives. Wishing all of you the best.

I can now understand how difficult it would be to be put in front of a video camera and asked to comment or react to something in a language you are not fluent speaking in. 2023-06-30 21:34:01 +0000 UTCI think it is great that the girls are learning to speak better English, even though I usually understand what they are saying and I find it kind of endearing when they make a mistake. but one thing I have noticed is that often at the end of a reaction, they can have a hard time expressing their thoughts and opinions about the movie in a thoughtful and nuanced way because they simply do not have the vocabulary to express themself.

I’m never disappointed by the English (and dear “Bulgarianisms”) that the girls use; but as a Brit who likes to try & learn other European languages, I can appreciate the frustration felt when you feel you know what you want to say, but can’t quite find the words. Just know that we (native English speakers) have a mountain of respect and admiration for the girls’ English already – their hearts speak louder than their words, often times.

2023-06-30 20:54:37 +0000 UTCI'm English myself and I can understand every word. I can tell some of you aren't as confident though so taking lessons and improving is a good choice. The idea though that any native speaker could actually struggle to understand any of you is baffling to me.

Your guys' English is good enough that any English speaker would be able to understand what you're saying. But if you want to learn English better, go right ahead. I understand wanting to learn the language better.

2023-06-30 16:00:51 +0000 UTCAnyone who's spoken more than one language know how time consuming it can be be to translate something in your head, then speak and the older you are the harder it can be to learn a new language. You can see the vast improvement in older videos compared to now, with Mish and Lia. Viki has and still struggles with that even though we understand what she's trying to express, the pausing may not help how she feels speaking. I had thought that, at some points when anyone just spoke Bulgarian that an editor could just translate what was said if you wanted

2023-06-30 15:31:53 +0000 UTCHonestly between the new gen z talk and our terrible education, they may actually end up speaking better English than the people bitching and leaving. I’d also take into account if people are that turned off by a little accent, they either weren’t interested in the first place or may be trying to play some kind of mind game with another creator. Just my two cents.

2023-06-30 15:15:35 +0000 UTCI agree with the poster above about picking up on plot lines and jokes in movies. But that might also be a cultural difference and not necessarily about language. It’s weird though that they’ve had feedback from some people saying they can’t understand them. Maybe as a native English speaker (I’m from the UK), it’s easier for me to understand them because I’m used to listening to foreign people speak English every country I go to. Either way, I don’t think it’s a huge issue but appreciate you trying to improve the channel!!

2023-06-30 15:10:57 +0000 UTCI think it's totally fine, if they improve their English. It doesn't hurt anyone, if they do it. It is generally good for them, then they can express themselves better. Their English is not bad but sometimes they don't know, which word means what in English and then they replace it with Bulgarian, which is cute in itself but it just helps them better in the future.
