KONIG PANZER!!

Jimmy

Those parents we're trying to give up their kids , because they were in a warzone. The town was destroyed , and probably no food around. Also another big reason was they were surrounded by Nazis. Those weren't German civilians... if I had to put money on it , I'd say they were French. They wanted to see their kids taken with Americans and have a chance , rather then watching them die horribly. Chance weren't probably that good , and the dad knew it.

The battle in the beginning "D-Day" was the largest seaborne & airborne invasion in history. All trying to get behind enemy lines into Nazi Germany . Hitler & Nazis built a extensive system of coastal defences called the "Alantic Wall" . The Alantic Wall stretch 3,200 miles from the border of Spain/France , all the way to the entire coast of Norway. It wasn't actual wall , but instead a fortified coastline made up of tank traps , mines , ramps , barbwire , trenches , bunkers with MG34 & MG42 machine guns , and much more. The invasion in Normandy was broken up into 5 units (5 beaches in Normandy) this beach in the movie scene takes place where the First Army called "Omaha beach ". Omaha beach , was without question the bloodiest & deadliest out of the 5. Their was 10,000+ casualties, 4,414 confirmed deaths in total on D-Day , and out of those 4,000+ deaths ...2,400 of them were on Omaha beach. Also the average age of the soldiers was 18- 20 years old. Their commander's wanted them inexperienced in war . They didn't want them knowing what they were walking into. They knew a lot men would die .. chances were 1 in 4 u would survive.

Thank you Blue for watching this amazing film. The fans simply love these genuine reactions! Your reaction is greatly appreciated and shows your high moral character. The beach landing scene depicts America's deadliest day in WWII. Over 60 Million people died in WWII, over 30 million Slavs where killed by Nazis, tens of millions of those civilians. Hitler sought the destruction of the Slavic peoples at all costs and was not going to be reasoned with as you understand "reasonable." I think Abraham Lincoln's words "to rid the world of tyranny and oppression" resonate why the sacrifice is paid by the likes of free men and women. The world order you know and all our Western privileges we take for granted derive from this conflict. Many of the lessons learned are being forgotten as those who fought are a generation, know as the "Greatest Generation," that are no longer with us. The whole of Europe was devastated by totalitarianism, hate, genocide, famine, and cataclysmic clashes of industrialized war production. Major conflict between industrial powers has not occurred in 76 years because of US Hegemony and NATO protecting sovereign nation states like Bulgaria that prosper under imperfect systems where individual rights and free trade are at the foundation. The costs are high, our ideals are imperfect but lets not forget tyranny still persists. This movie isn't just about America, this is about all of the West, and Bulgaria is a NATO ally for very good reason. Our destinies should always be intertwined as free people. God Bless America, God Bless Bulgaria, God Bless Scotland. Evil prevails when the good do nothing.
